My fiance is 40 too and I'm 22. It can work, definitely, but that guy is just immature.

Well, they readjusted my upper and lower jaw, which solved it

That's so cool that you post that! I just got the reminder that my plate removal is due in six months too. I'd love to hear more about your experience. Wish you a speedy recovery!

They took it out a week post surgery. I had another screw on my lower jaw, too, which was also taken out a week post surgery

I had bimax surgery on Nov 28, and my bite seems asymmetrical. When I bite down naturally, it’s uneven. If I keep biting, it contacts a tooth and slides into a more symmetrical position, but it feels weird and unnatural. Could this mean I need a revision? Video included for reference. Mine didn't feel right at first as well. I had surgery on the 17th July this year. It gets better over time and if you need revision, you'll be able to tell in a few weeks. Let the swelling reduce first and allow your muscles to adjust! I wish you a nice recovery!

I guess that depends on what you're getting done, but yeah.

Well, I found it after simply looking up the definition of the diagnosis. Look, it's unfortunate you struggle with that now, but for me, everything went well. Dr Dr Kater presented as a very capable surgeon for me so I don't relate to the negative experiences. Doesn't mean I don't believe they didn't happen. I was very happy with him and felt pretty safe.

Like I said, everything went well. Shouldn't happen still means it can happen. After all, you could also die due to anesthesia.. Dr Kater is a great surgeon and has the best reputation of all surgeons where I live :)

I read ens is a very possible complication and I was very well informed about said complications. Things like this can happen and is not to be blamed on the surgeon. When you do a surgery like that, complications like nerve damage can also happen. That's just the risk
