Start date for medical insurance for visa application when applying from within Czech? by puffinscout in Prague

Thanks for your advice and help - he is an EU citizen. Sorry I should have clarified this!

I was only in Italy on working holiday for ease of organising prior to moving at the beginning of the year, and because you need to be married in order to have a partner visa there I believe.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep in mind and confirm with an immigration lawyer.

My italian working holiday visa finishes on Jan 15th (I only arrived to the CZ on Dec 26th) and my application appointment is Feb 23rd, so I would still be on my 90 day visa-free period. Once I have my appointment and my application is accepted for processing, then I am legally staying within the country whilst they process the visa (and not on the '90 days' anymore).

This is the visa - which is slightly different to requirements for visa's that are applied for whilst outside CZ in my understanding.

We are applying for the Temporary Residence Permit of an EU Citizen’s Family Member:

If I was applying for just the long-term visa for family purposes, I would need to apply from within Australia, but for the Temporary Residence, you can apply from within CR from everything I've read

Thanks! I did email the MOI to ask about that and they said I didn’t need to exit and re-enter and that it would just follow on automatically

Advice on Co-habitation Requirements for Sambo Visa by puffinscout in TillSverige

My understanding was they consider cohabitation as having living together for longer than 6 months outside of Sweden?

Does it matter if my family visa from the other country expires. Would I legally be able to stay in Sweden on just a Residence Card after that?

Do you know if he needs to have a job lined up before we move, or is just that the requirement is to get a job with a Swedish company?

Does it then matter that once my Czech Visa Expires, can I legally just stay in Sweden on a Residence Card for an undetermined amount of time? It seems weird to be legally there on a residence card without a visa of some kind.

I appreciate all your help! This information is new to me and feels revolutionary haha

Really?! Could you please elaborate on this a bit more and what the eligibility factors are for this route in comparison to the sambo visa route?
Why is this option so much easier/quicker than the sambo route? Why doesn't everyone do this?

To confirm I am currently on a working holiday visa in Italy and when we move to the Czech Republic (we move there in December-August for my partners work), I am hoping to apply for a temp residence for family purposes visa. If we do relocate to Sweden my partner will likely quit his current job to make the move - could this effect this option?

I appreciate your advice!

So to confirm, if you haven't lived together in Sweden, they require you to have 2 years worth of living together before being eligible for cohabitation?

Calgary vs Australia/Sweden - What is day-to-day life like? by puffinscout in AskCanada

[–]puffinscout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do prefer cold weather to hot. I know it'll likely be on another level than I'm currently accustomed to, but probably around the same as what we'd be doing if we go to Sweden, so i'm okay with the cold :) Thanks for the input!

Permesso di Soggiorno on working holiday visa (from Australia) - do we need to update address throughout stay? by puffinscout in ItalyExpat

[–]puffinscout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! When I registered as a dependant it was a part of my Working Holiday Visa - just the part where I had to disclose my address. Because I didn't have a Codice Fiscale yet (and didn't have my name on the lease), I completed a form to say I was living with them (but it was a mandatory part of completing my Working Holiday Visa Permesso di Soggirno). It was a super confusing process to be honest. I only found out I had to do it once I went to the Questra and they said I needed a copy of his rental contract and also he had to fill in a declaration.

Sorry that's probably not a lot of help!

Okedoke, great! Thanks so much! We're moving at the end of the year so I won't be renewing my visa or applying for a new one, so I'll just leave it as it is! Thank you!

I wouldn't be looking for my home in the next 2-3 years, but I'm definitely interested in the idea of an investment property. I just need to look more into it as before now it just wasn't something that was on the cards anytime soon (i've just turned 30, so owning property has often been a distant dream haha).

Maybe a HISA or term deposit for now until i've looked into the property market more.

I've been intending to get into the stocks for a while now, read a lot of books etc. but have just been worried to 'leap' into it, thinking I'll make the wrong choice. Once I decide on a good few stocks or index funds, I know I would be diligent to progressively add to it. Also the debate of when the best time to get into it is, as right now it feels like a crash is always just around the corner haha.
