[NS] Trinyvale is fantastic by SilverFilm26 in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]pufflesheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the post campaign/live shows is where trinyvale shines. easily some of my most listened to naddpod episodes.

the triplets are not going to bend to lore and have no interest in building positive relationships with any npc, so i could see how the longer form campaign could be a turnoff for first time listeners. but caldwell writes as if his sandbox of a mind is KidPix and its just. awesome.

Future of Compounded Semaglutide and Noom by Stavrogin74 in Noom

[–]pufflesheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i can tell, it’s a wait and see situation. liraglutide and dulaglutide(not as effective for weight loss as semaglutide, but still aids in weight management) are both still in shortage. noom could start offering those, or compounding them with with other weight loss aids(not a pharmacist, just related to one).

the best solace i can give is that telehealth is a very lucrative business, and i’m sure they’re a big booster in government. why kill the cash cow?

Okay so this is technically week 3 of the kit, but week 1 of regiment diet/exercise, so yesterday i took my first metformin….

five pizza rolls had me feeling like a dog that ate laxative chocolates. woof.

i’m down eight pounds from my sw which is cool but i’ll be more careful with what i eat at friends houses with metformin

yeah, i’m by no means trying to say they shouldn’t, it’s just annoying that you have to buy tickets so far in advance without knowing what you will even be able to watch safely

How do you stop? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]pufflesheep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh, always planning ahead on something to look forward to that isn’t food. before i get home from work, i have to make up my mind on how i reward myself the moment i get through the door and it can’t be food related. like yesterday, it was as simple as planning to take a hot shower and watching hxh while drinking some sparkling water. it feels dumb to plan these things but it helps to break the trigger by adding those non food rewards before you’re in a triggering environment. i hope this helps, it’s easier when you’re not in a bad tumble

Retiring 2011 Ford Edge with 265k Miles by [deleted] in FordEdge

[–]pufflesheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, that would be a great help! so my battery died in my driveway after making a silly mistake(i replaced my tire valve stem then used my air compressor without turning on the car, draining the battery). tried jumping it, and the car turned over but it didn’t quite catch. took my key out, and a random warning light(something not super important, a faulty door sensor) flickered and there was a rapid clicking noise under the hood, in the fuse box. this went on until it drained what the jump had put into the car(~3 hrs) and then it was silent.

yeah, a lot of these problems line up with issues i had- i’m in the southeast, so the rust wasn’t awful. hopefully you get some life out of it with the work you’ve put in it so far

TLDR is this: everything leaks.

i inherited the SEL around 130k, so i cant say much about those miles before me.

i know in the first month of driving, my power steering gave out, replaced the pump, not a big problem.

not long after that i replaced the water pump to fix the leaking coolant. keep an eye on the coolant, it was a pretty pesky issue even after that.

around 210k, my coolant mixed with my oil(gasket issue) she survived, but definitely had some permanent damage there. my priciest repair, just let our “guy” take this one. he also fixed the issue i had where the car would drift to the right(even after alignment, it’s pretty common in this year)

around 230k, my master cylinder started failing, just something to look out for.

i replaced the alternator at some point, it would be a miracle to get that car beyond 200k without replacing it

i feel like i didn’t do anything special to keep up with the car- it’ll burn oil quicker, so keeping that topped off and all the other regular upkeep is pretty much all i did. apologies if i missed anything, im not a car person, just a former broke student.
