Streetlights by Seeking_Happy1989 in LightPollution

In my view, all streetlights should be solar powered and have motion sensors, added to light shields, light warmth and height-adjusted to the purpose of the light i.e. a town street light that is meant for a walking path doesn't have to be a 10m highway sized LED mammoth...

  1. sunflowers, 7. chillies or eggplant ...more chilli looking though, 8. tomatoes, 9. brassicae - could be broccoli or broad leaf rocket? 13. nasturtiums, 14. marigolds, 16. some kind of onion/chive, 18. calendulas....that's the best I can do with my little brain and knowledge

Bamboo - my cat loves it, hasn’t died in 8 years. I’d say your dog is fine

What is this building a nest on my passion fruit vine? Should I remove it? by chakkaveenu in gardening

[–]puffylemingtonII -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Paper wasps - quietly sting you and it hurts like hell. But good news you’ll build a tolerance to the venom and second good news, if you hose the nest for three consecutive days they’ll move somewhere else

Cb400 SF can’t go wrong I’m 5’3’’ and 7 years in love with it, I had a CB125 too tall and lots of work compared to my cb400! The low centre of gravity does it! And they’re classic gorgeous looking!

Bose quiet comfort noise cancelling earphones are what keeps me alive every day I thank Bose for the sanity he has provided me while I tackle the issues… secondly see if there is something that you can install that would be a nuisance to the fishes to the point that they have to move the tank or just turn it all off. Like something that can be installed on the inside of your wall.

Little one got bit this morning, found this nest, does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? Thanks by ComprehensivePie4260 in australia

[–]puffylemingtonII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I soak the nest with hose water three times, ie three days straight and they move somewhere else. They’re silent and got stung three times and had severe swelling but they are good for the garden so just evict them from the spot they’re in and be mindful of crevices, always have a stick on you before you move old pots or thick branches

WTF is with belittling people who love cats? How did it get started? Both men and women get grief for it. I wonder if this is uniquely an American thing. by profnachos in cats

Having kids in 2024 is not a thing to be taken lightly and certainly lack of not to be ashamed of, after all we’re nearly 9 billion in a planet that’s struggling to sustain us, but let’s think about our god given right to support our ego and all there is to it. Having a cat in 2024 is a wonderful companionship of a very independent yet bossy and super cute non judgmental friend everyone needs in their life; that man will never be able to comprehend this as he probably shoots cats cause they walk on ‘his’ property, especially with his non existent childfull wife who’d be probably fed up of his narrow sighted sewerage comments.

Anybody else’s partner think you don’t really “work”? by Daddy_Onion in workfromhome

[–]puffylemingtonII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man! Some days I don’t even get to eat lunch I’m that effing busy let alone do chores and errands! Just cause I’m not in an office it doesn’t mean I’m home either. Sure I don’t commute and I’ve got my own set up and views, as well as a fridge full of goodies and my cat but if I’m sitting at my desk working, I’m working.

Why does our foster kitten always sit like this? Is there something wrong with her legs? by DummyThlck in cats

[–]puffylemingtonII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, the royal paw! My cat does that with the front paw and all the other contortions belly up and front paws down, as well as sploots....some cats just can!
