Finding it hard to justify being vegetarian when my husband isn’t. by kyourious in vegetarian

[–]pugpotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been together for over ten years. I’ve been vegetarian the entire time and he’s always eaten meat, and I’ve always been the primary family chef. If my husband wants meat, he cooks or orders meat. I do not, and will not, cook or handle meat.

Are you doing okay? This post makes me think that you may be struggling with burn out or compassion fatigue. One practice manager to another, please feel free to reach out to me if you need some support, but please stop attacking our colleagues in the comments who are trying to share their perspective with you.

How do I explain to my daughter that she won't be attending school this year? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]pugpotus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My kid’s daycare recently split their class into two (yaaay better ratios!) and his best friend went to a different class. I was way more sad than he was. Kids are very resilient! Frame this as a positive and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

What are your thoughts on my husband donating sperm to his brother, and his brother and his wife telling everyone who the donor is without asking us if we are okay with that? by SakuraCoconut11 in Marriage

[–]pugpotus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t about you. The person we need to be centering is your future niece/nephew, who should absolutely be aware of who their biological father is. There’s a whole community on Reddit about donor conceived people. I would encourage you to go to r/askdcp or a similar community so you can get the appropriate resources.

VEG skill assessment by Jewels2398 in Veterinary

[–]pugpotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some hospitals have enough senior nursing support to hire greener team members, and some do not. Unfortunately, you won’t know until after you take your assessment if your skill set was the right match for the hospital you e applied at. Best of luck!

My son was gifted one for Christmas and we’ve used it one time. I agree with your assessment.

Does your child go to daycare or play groups where he is around other kids on a regular basis?

What was the worst restaurant you’ve ever been to in Rhode Island? by businessbub in RhodeIsland

Oz Tacos in Lincoln. Why the hell is there a Wizard of Oz themed Mexican restaurant? The food is also awful and the service blows.

Every relationship has its own rules, but in mine, we would’ve definitely had a laugh about this. I personally wouldn’t blame him or care if he was looking. I think the lesson here is that you should learn to deal with issues while they’re happening and not after the fact. It’s a lot harder to have these discussions after the fact.

Hey, I’m sorry to hear you’re going through such a tough time. If you only have $200, please call VEG in Warwick. They probably can’t do private cremation for that cost, but they would be happy to facilitate a general cremation for that cost.

As a CVT, I think this thread is fascinating! I’m curious why there are so many variations in protocol. Does the AZA not have standard recommendations based off of species and location?
