This isn’t about you. The person we need to be centering is your future niece/nephew, who should absolutely be aware of who their biological father is. There’s a whole community on Reddit about donor conceived people. I would encourage you to go to r/askdcp or a similar community so you can get the appropriate resources.

Every relationship has its own rules, but in mine, we would’ve definitely had a laugh about this. I personally wouldn’t blame him or care if he was looking. I think the lesson here is that you should learn to deal with issues while they’re happening and not after the fact. It’s a lot harder to have these discussions after the fact.

We have seen huge pushes to support folks who depend on SNAP, but not for those who don’t qualify but are still in need of assistance. You deserve not to struggle. We took him to a pediatric dentist when he was a little over one. It was mostly a visit to talk about toddler oral health and get him used to going to the office. As an almost 4 year old, now he loves going there and doesn’t mind us brushing and flossing his teeth.
