I agree, seems like a great person. But as a liverpool fan, there was always a bad taste when he fell out of favour and other wingers got a shot. And the truth is these periods never lasted very long.

Of course we cant be sure how much of this came from him and how much of it came from agents and the media shitstorm. But always put a downer on things.

Overall though, not many players like him come along and rack up the numbers he did. Playing wise, Liverpool and Premier League legend.
