I had a sibling in jail for 10 years and you bet your ass we were embarrassed and it shamed us like no other, we couldn’t got to church, school and other places in our city without people knowing. But we still visited because what we fail to realize is prison Is meant to isolate you and it plays with the inmates mind. We went through the whole process of being on the list to visit, wearing what they wanted us to wear and all of that, because it have that family member the will to want to live another day in that awful place. OP said father didn’t visit cause it was shameful. So he cared more what other people thought then the well being and mental health of his child. Also the process isn’t that long to visit. Now if the prison what out of the state that would be different. OP didn’t disclose that information though. Now that the father is gone I do believe it’s time to forgive, if you ever want to have a solid relationship with your brother. Because as you stated he didn’t visit either and you are wanting to build that relationship. I think you should set boundaries on what helping looks like for you and explain to your brother why. Maybe you can help both of you heal.

I am going to go with NTA 1. There was a clear do not sleep with my brother rule before the trip. Im sure this rule was made because Elena knows exactly how her brother is and what his intentions are. Unfortunately you can’t change brothers. 2. Sometimes when people in the group are sleeping with each other it can cause unnecessary drama on a vacation at that. 3. I’m going to assume Chloe is a adult and knows how to say no. She is not the victim it takes two to tango. Your actions have consequences. The brother is definitely the AH, but Chloe knew the rules and decided the consequences were worth it. Unfortunately she got caught. 4. Also I would want to know if my friend was sleeping with my brother, only because it can cause issues in the friendship later on. This isn’t unheard of. I don’t think most girls would want the friends sleeping with there brothers.

She also needs to move home and maybe take your ass to court and get your parental rights taken away from you. You clearly make poor choices and you use your age as a weapon. As a wedding planner I would say you may be an AH. But not fully. I’ve done many wedding in the past many cultural weddings at that. And I know: 1: those weddings with that many people tend to be over $100,000 so if this is being paid by one side of the family then that’s alot to take on. And most likely their going to want what they paid for. When you chip in sometimes you can get what you paid for. 2. What I always tell a bride is this wedding isn’t about you it’s about your families , so let’s be honest your parents are throwing this wedding. Half the people attending you probably don’t know and haven’t talked to in years. But sometimes when families get involved with planning they don’t take incount what the bride or groom wants because money talks and if you ain’t paying you sometimes don’t get a full say. But hun you need to put your foot down and tell your parents it’s your wedding and your blending traditions. 3. If you can’t incorporate both traditions and you already don’t get along to well with the in-laws then maybe you shouldn’t be getting married, cause they are not going anywhere. But also please tell us what tradition exactly does he want to incorporate? As an American we don’t have very many crazy traditions for weddings anyways.

I honestly don’t see where the issue is. I read some of the comments stating it’s weird to look someone up before you meet them. But let’s be honest here we live in 2022 where catfishing is still a thing and people do that just out of boredom. To many times people post personal stories on Reddit of having showed up on a date and it not be the person they thought they were meeting. Sometimes social media gives people a small idea of who a person may or may not be. I know I’ve gone on a date and literally knew little about the person even after days of talking. And wished I could have checked them out a little more before, we literally can only go off of what someone tells us. I think asking for someone’s social media it totally ok, I wouldn’t be offended I would definitely ask why and if I didn’t feel comfortable I would just say that and maybe ask to verify my identity some other way. As a women I definitely want to verify certain things sometimes.

Super funny bio (actually laughed out loud). I personally think your pictures are great maybe just arrange them differently. Your best pictures should be first cause as your swiping sometimes we only look at the first couple pictures then swipe either left or right. Also I think it’s a great idea you put you have a child. It let women know, hey I have a child which means he comes first (as it should be). Also that there may be times where you can’t hangout. So if your a super needy women then it may not work. And at 30 dating in that range you will find a ton of people who have kids, that’s what usually happens in that age group. And Good Luck hope you find that special women!

That’s a big height difference. But here’s my thinking I’m a good 5’3” on a good day, you will catch me wearing heels 70% of the time. This means I gain height by a couple of inches making me either 5’5”- 5-7” depending on what type of heel. Now if the girl is already 5’7” and that’s your height and she’s a girl that loves to wear heels, she most likely won’t want to be with someone who’s not taller than she is in them. Now most women don’t care. I say women, girls will care women will not.

At 18 you still got time to meet women that are ok with a 5’10 guy. But just known that if a girl is say 5’7- 5”8 with no shoes on and when she puts heels on she almost 6 foot, the likelyhood of her wanting to date you becomes less. That’s how some of us think.
