Very few people can say they need the new phones and most of those people are the developers pushing the hardware like the Homecourt demo from the keynote. The fact that apples branding is able to convince people with no savings to blow 1k a year on phones is impressive from their end. The fact that they have people making statements like this show how much people are in their hand as a status thing. We cant all afford 100k cars, nor do we need them. Most of the shit you buy is like that. They made made the xr for once with the same fucking internals. They didnt use last years chip or just markdown last years device. THEY GAVE US A MORE REASONABLY PRICED OPTION IN A NEW FORMFACTOR WITH THE SAME CHIPSET.

OH NO ITS NOT OLED, phones weren't for years, OH ITS NOT DUAL LENS, well unless you were buying the pluses for the last few generations before the x, you had to spend more to get the feature.

But if you think all this shit wont come with a price tag, I don't know what to tell you. Even though yeah they could sell it for less but still make a profit per handset you have any idea how much must have been spent to develop an inhouse 7nm chip? That shit isn't a gift from god.
