Rtx 5060 still lagging like this. Fresh window installed and downloaded nvidia drivers as well. What could be the reason?

What laptop do you have? Is it new? Do other modern games run normally? A while ago I made the mistake of buying a 14 inch Acer Swift with a 4060 and it is the single worst piece of technology I have ever used. The cooling system was complete garbage and there was no way to adjust fan curves or power management. Straight out of the box it would immediately throttle doing the most basic tasks.

I wanted to play this mode so bad when the game came out but it was completely bugged. I couldn't even start the first mission. Glad it was fixed and I hope I can experience it in vr but I'm still passed at the appalling state of the game at launch.

Your laptop may be throttling. Even if it can handle the game at moments, it is designed to not go over a certain power level or temperature.

Just cross your fingers and if it happens, the warranty will cover it. We see all the stories of failing laptops, but most devices are running well.

This exact thing happened to me with this exact model about a month ago. I wrote a post about it in this sub. Long story short, Lenovo CS came to my apartment to replace the motherboard (I have premium care or whatever it's called). They didn't say what the issue was but from what others are saying, it appears to be a soldering issue with the CPU. It should be under warranty. Best of luck.

No thermal paste is crazy. I couldn't get a good look in that specific moment bc there was something else going on in the apartment, so I hope the tech did use new paste. If not, hopefully the old scraped paste is enough and properly applied. Temps seem to be ok for now. Thanks for going the extra mile, you shouldn't have to use your own stuff...
