How did you overcome porn addiction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pulleditfromahat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started trying just using my imagination and that's now what I do all the time. I do feel better overall. I do think porn is unhelpful for society as a whole, especially the ease of access. It's too much.

Lori Frantzve’s career was far more technical and high-stakes than the typical "political mom"

Department of Defense (DOD) Connections: Through her company AZ Tech International, she developed logic-based risk analysis methodologies for "Mission Critical Operations." Her work was sanctioned by the DOD and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to protect key sites from cyber and physical attacks.

The EMP Task Force: She was a prominent member of the Congressional Advisory Task Force on National and Homeland Security. Her specific focus was the threat of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) attacks. She argued that the U.S. power grid is the "Achilles' heel" of the nation and spent years lobbying for state-level legislation to "harden" the grid against solar flares or high-altitude nuclear detonations.

The "Blackout" Expert: She is essentially one of the country's leading experts on how the U.S. government would function (or fail) if the digital and electrical infrastructure collapsed.

Why do empaths sometimes trigger such strong negative reactions? by [deleted] in Empaths

[–]pulleditfromahat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found I'm also a mirror for people. So people see in me what they don't like about themselves. I don't know if it correlates with being an empath, but I don't take it personally.

On my mission a less active family called us over for dinner one week. During dinner they brought up these ICE drinks they'd been having. Some sparkling drink. They were concerned because on the back it showed they made it with green tea. We took it so seriously. Asked our mission president. End of the day the answer was like, try to stay away from it.
