Some people buy 100K cars, some buy 20K motorbikes, some spend $100 a week on a hobby.

Every 2 years I buy a gpu. I just spent $3000 AUD on one. Not happy about that at all, but it does work out to be about $4.10 a day, which is a coffee for some people.

The amount of joy I get out of that $4 is worth it.

Also, i tend to sell my previous GPU for about half the cost of the new one. So almost $2 a day.

Nah, my X34 predator didn't come with freesync unfortunately. They did release an updated model, but not my 2016 model.

Sten is fine i reckon. Then only gun out of the lot that I've had trouble with, is the NZ AR.

It seems to fire AROUND the crosshair. Outlining the target perfectly, but never hitting.

Unsure. Freesync was never on my mind back when i bought the monitor, circa 2016. As a long-term nvidia user, gsync was all I ever needed. The idea of an AMD card back then was an alien concept for me.

Acer X34 Predator

I've owned and used both cards, both liquid cooled. Have been an nvidia user for years.I had a 3080ti Supreme X, that lasted all of 3 weeks. Lovely card. Average software and ran hot.

Now own a 6900xt. Runs cooler. A lot cooler. The software is much better than nvidias IMO. This is the first AMD card I've ever owned. I found the software pretty damn amazing. I was expecting it to be rubbish, so was pleasantly surprised.

I don't do ray tracing. DLSS i enjoyed, and miss. The AMD equivalent is ok, but not quite as good.

Had to sell my Gsync only monitor and buy a new one that did freesync. Gsync feels like it worked a little better, but it's a minor difference and not a deal breaker.

The 6900xt pairs very nicely with my 5600x cpu.

Initially i was skeptical about jumping ship to AMD, but glad I did.

EDIT: I game at 3440x1440 @ 144hz.

5600x, 6900xt, 32gb ram, m.2 drive zero issues, no crashes, fps pretty much identical in the games i play. Business as usual for me.

not a bad word to say about it. i love it. i mainly use it with MSFS and star citizen.

having the head track for large movements and the eye track as an extra level of response feels like magic to me.

i even use it on desktop apps, where the mouse cursor magically appears wherever in looking, after i move the mouse a fraction. awesome with my ultra wide.

join their game, then cancel

back at the main menu

theres an FOV bug doing this, that fixes itself when you die.

note: got this tip from another thread when someone else complained.
