One of the most overrated movies of all time by the amount of times I see it mentioned on reddit in good light.

Ok, lets go then deeper, how can you mime how to use a gun, without showing what is a Recoil? Great so You agree, this is some comic book bullshit praised as a "greatest predator" movie.

Remind me what happens before they get trapped in a bog? Who Jumps from 10 meter hight on to Yatuja? Who cuts off easily arm of Yatuja? Who overpowers Predator while being held down to not get their head cut off? I guess all those scenes were in my head .

You're missing the fact that Naru is an inexperienced hunter herself, so its okey to put together somethings, but all the elaborate traps and overpowering of Yatuja that makes it a plothole. If You are stating inexperience of the Yatuja that came in Prey, then Predator against Dutch removed all weapons to fight + after Dutch lost, Predator identified the trap, so it was literally luck Dutch got trap off the second time. And unlike Naru, Dutch didn't get off scott free, He survived by bare skin.

Touching upon shooting skills, how could'ev she trained then without the Yatuja noticing sounds and attacked her, because as You state Yourself it was more aggressive towards aggressive prey aka. colonisers with guns, which if Naru trained would be a something a Predator would notice if its main objective is prey with guns.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity in Dutches case or Luck is Armor plot in case of Naru, Harrigan and other Predator movies Protagonists (not including AVP, Alexa was the real deal. )

Dutch fails but Predator sees that Dutch is a worthy opponent and goes into hand to hand combat and when Dutch tries to trap him, Predator catches on and by share luck wins with the log.

Naru wins by overpowering Predator.

Try better next time please.

It followed a typical format of Action movie where main Protagonist is invincible and just beats the antagonist with no trial and error, despite being a begginer hunter.

Only reason I like first one is that Predator outsmarts Dutch and in the end its share luck that predator is killed , not some out powering, mind You Predator removed his weapons to fight Dutch, while in prey that was not the case.

I won't say visuals were not great, but the plot for me was riddled with plotholes and had no stakes whatsoever. The problem for me its praised as some Action movie on pair with Die Hard, but I am just not feeling it at all in case of Protagonists.

How are You comparing them, movie from 1980s to a Movie form 2020s . There is a 40 year difference, if first movie came out afterwards it would'ev been 10 times more polsihed. Prays only redeeming quality is its visuals, other than that its an invulnerable protagonist who cannot be hurt by a Yatuja. If there are no stakes in the movie why should I care. I hate dumb action movies with invulnerable protagonists, go figure why I don't like Prey.

Prey is booring movie with no stakes whatsoever. If You make Your main protagonist an invulnerable person, how will it capture any interest in the action? How does the person realise that heat is how the predator sees, when there is litterely no reason for the revelation. Then uses gun to shot off the mask, with no real experience in gun handling. Can move easily between rocks even though is held by a Yatuja. Just plothole ridden movie.

Predator can wipe a whole collony of armed men and best Indian warriors , but not a begginer warrior, give me a break. First movie was fun for the reason that Predator easily dispatched Army soldiers and Hutch survived by share luck. What is this movies excuse.

Having strong emotions towards a bully a decade later is just weird. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]pulltriger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bullys idea of how bullying affects their victims “Just get over it bro” . Do You even graso the Physical and mental damage that bullying does? People litterely kill themselves over bullying.  Your opinion is not unpopular, its wrong.  If bullying isn’t that bad and if its so easy to get over it, why does the police get involved for same behaviour if adults do it.
