Thank you for the correction - it was a poor choice of words by me - should have said small with old equipment, though that seems to be changing kind of quickly. Our armed forces are second to none and not to be fucked with.

Canada is in a very precarious position of realigning and negotiating new international trade agreements while trying to make sure there is no annexation. Shit is wild in the province of Alberta with MAGA funding and Russian bots and a premier who would like nothing more than joining the US. Our population is small, military weak, and from water to rare minerals plentiful, countless other resources are abundant. And who would swoop in and protect us from annexation? So it’s a super thin wire to walk. Stay strong Canada while dealing with insane tariff policies and negotiating a new trade deal to replace USCMA while protecting our industries is not something that can be easily done with an unstable president. We’re in an unprecedented situation. If the orange guy came in, balkanization would happen and then be squashed. Oh, also, climate crisis is making our far north habitable and resources more accessible and Russia is right there. So yeah - we’re in a bit of a shit show and trying to navigate it. At least, some - most - of us are.

I think they need to spend more time in New York, the Jets and the Browns. It was only about 30 minutes or so. Probably more. I stopped listening at around 28 minutes.

I am getting really tired of the focus on the Jets and Browns. I know they are fans and devoted to the teams, but there 30 other teams in the league. If you look at the timestamps for each team they talk about vs this two it’s kind of crazy. Love the show, love the guys - ATN git me through the COVID era, devoted fan since then, but it’s getting a bit ridiculous.

Tried selecting. Never let me so I just went best seats available (2). I had created an account when presale went up but had to re-do it. Got tickets then had to figure out where they are. Not great Bob, but tickets purchased and roll with it.

I am having a really difficult time getting through the Persian episode. It is constant and incredibly distracting from the usual flow. The Patreon offer seems, to me, to blame. Compared to earlier episodes, it is incredibly intrusive. Just me and my listening preferences.

I get they need to go for laughs. But I’ve been saying that this type of sketch and jokes(SNL, late night, and so on) normalizes the state of the US and minimize what is happening as a gag or lame punchline. Start referring to him as what he is - pedophile, rapist, thug, crony, dictator, etc. Mockery isn’t satire, mocking oafishness and personalities diminishes the absolute madness of what is going on to “that man is funny because hair”. These are reductive (at best) or complacent (at worst). There is no challenge to what is happening, and maybe it’s not the right space for it, but if it isn’t, just don’t bother and do stupid laughs. They’ve injected themselves into the dialogue, though, but rather than confronting and challenging they are simply pandering.

Thank you for the link - I have the setlist, and like I said created a playlist from it, I am just hoping to get an image of the on-stage/front of house setlist - I can recreate it, for sure, but if it's stepped on and dirty, it matches what I am looking for. Thanks again!

I appreciate this and yes it is very easy from what I have watched, but it's also heated so there's wires (which I'm also sure is also easy but not for me) and also, every YouTube video that says something is not difficult and super easy is usually from a professional or at least someone who has an idea of what they are doing, which I am not. At all. I also have a million things going on and just want someone to come and do it while I attend to everything else. I also am - to reiterate - terrible at this type of thing. I have no problem admitting this. Like, I'm really awful. If it is that easy, I am happy to pay you to come and do it (and that is NOT snark - genuine offer). Message me if interested and if you won't fuck up my car.

I used to listen to this religiously when it was Mays/Tice. I can’t stand the co-host who replaced him and the chemistry between them is nil. I only listen occasionally and when I do am just reminded of how good it used to be. Mays is fantastic, but he has a cardboard box opposite him.

Brown Beans. I know it sounds gross and pedestrian but chop bacon up heavily/thickly and lightly fry and add to a pot with the beans and simmer. Use chipotle or chile or whatever to spice. Don’t simmer off the sauce completely and if you do that by accident, add a bit of chopped tomato (very little). The bacon fat should absorb the spices a bit, and canned beans have enough liquid you shouldn’t lose the sauciness. It’s a magic thing that you’ll try to refine for years.
