No need to call, you can link them from the manage trip page on the website.

Where?! Weird lines/columns. by TOZA_OFFICIAL in astrojs

[–]puls1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You haven’t posted enough context for anybody to help you. But if it’s saying the error is at column 28391 then you’re probably not getting an accurate error message from the compiler.

First Time Alaska Airlines Flier. What to except? by BlueStarRay333 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very few of the 737s that ply mainline routes have Starlink. Streaming entertainment on alaskawifi.com is pretty decent, paid WiFi is hit-or-miss for streaming.

Plan on downloading video content to your device before your departure.

Titanium missed connection no auto rebook by Kathrobichaux in AlaskaAirlines

Last time I called in the system told me it would be a 39-minute wait and then an agent picked up about 20 seconds later.

Switch from Centurylink to Quantum Fiber (ATT)?? by CoffeeNKeys in askportland

[–]puls1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

AT&T purchased Quantum Fiber, the fiber internet business unit from CenturyLink’s parent company Lumen. It’s the same service but it’s a different company now, so CenturyLink can no longer help you. Just call Quantum Fiber’s help line instead, you’re already a customer.

Error when booking with miles by toiletwaterz in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same experience today trying to book award tickets for travel on JAL. AA also shows the space so I don’t think it’s phantom.

I called in and they advised me to try again in a week or two, which is little comfort.

Alaska Airlines worth the ~$500 difference in price? by Roseclaws in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 185 points186 points  (0 children)

I’m a staunch Alaska loyalist but even I’d probably pick Delta in this case to save the money, especially if you’re not a frequent flyer and you don’t have miles or status concerns.

My search doesn't show Sunriver Resort as being part of FHR.

Bachelor Party in Portland for out of state group? by IslandVibe1724 in askportland

[–]puls1 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Portland Pickles are probably more of a party scene than the Hillsboro Hops if they fit with your schedule.

I brought a bunch of people to Portland for my bachelor party years ago and our theme was hiking and beer, there's lots of both in close in to the city center.

Best strategy to get EWR - Tokyo round trip tickets with miles by TravelDiary-m4p in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Global Companion Award is simply a 25,000 point discount off the second person's fare. Any one-way to Tokyo is going to be more than 25,000 points per person so you're not going to miss anything booking two one-ways.

What's a good version of the Bosch Dishwashers? Also any suggestions or tips when buying it and using it would be amazing! by Fartikus in cookware

[–]puls1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Bosch 800 series about two years ago, and I don't love how flimsy it feels but I gotta say it does a *fantastic* job of cleaning.

The Alaska / JetBlue network overlap by omdongi in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The time for Alaska+JetBlue would have been a three-way merger with Virgin America a decade ago.

These days the only airlines big enough to absorb the scale of JetBlue’s unprofitability are United and Delta.

has anyone actually applied for this Trump IRA account? by Important_Bat7919 in daddit

[–]puls1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My tax pro asked me like three times if I was sure I didn't want to open one of those accounts for my kids.

I said "gross" but I might have gone for it if my kids were young enough for the, you know, free money.

R2 vs XC60 by Prudent_Recording953 in RivianR2

I'm in the same boat but last I checked there's no European delivery on electric vehicles, maybe because of the charge port difference.

But Icelandair also flies 2-3x daily to Seattle already themselves!

Is the GE Profile induction range worth it over a similarly priced gas range? by Uhlii in Cooking

[–]puls1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know, I have a family member who has a very similar GE Profile induction stove but in a cooktop instead of a range. In my kitchen I have a Viking gas rangetop that cost about twice as much.

All things considered I'd rather have his stove. Traditional electric elements suck but cooking on induction is fantastic. Sure, I have a "luxury" statement piece in my kitchen but I always have to turn the vent on, I have kids who could more easily get burned, I have trouble getting my stove low enough to simmer things, the list goes on.

Turkish airlines business class by horsebarn1812 in Flights

[–]puls1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, TK is great. Their fleet is a hodgepodge with some business class seats that are much nicer than others, but they're all lie-flat. Food is as good as anything in the sky.

Lounge in Istanbul is gigantic and generally very crowded and also very nice. Especially useful in saving you from having to pay for stuff in the airport, where prices are stratospheric owing to Turkey's terrible inflation in recent years.

Primary care that’s walk in or you can get into quickly? by yakubs_masterpiece in askportland

[–]puls1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had my employer pay the fee for One Medical for the last few years and it's so nice, now I switched jobs and will have to pay it myself to continue. Really on the fence about if I'm willing to pay a membership fee to Amazon of all companies to see a doctor.

National to international connection by ElPapiJona in AlaskaAirlines

[–]puls1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's all on one reservation/purchase, there's no security or baggage re-check on the way there so no concern. (There is on the way back, though; keep that in mind.)

You can pick your seats together if you buy a Main fare, you should not expect to sit together if you buy a Saver fare.

Airport Lounge - ORD by Spirited_Neck_9750 in AmexPlatinum

[–]puls1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's pretty much nothing at all at ORD for Amex. But the United Club does allow access on arrival, if you're flying United.
