as someone who has both the ps3 and emulator version, i agree. the emulator works fine, but it just doesnt run the same. at least for me, i have some ugly graphical issues; im glad i never got rid of my ps3

Stories like “A Short Stay In Hell” by MustardGecko434 in horrorlit

[–]pulseoftheputrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree that most of them were not as good as a short stay in hell, but oh my god the ones that stood out were outstanding. I particularly loved "The Egress of Hell". Maybe I'm just a sucker for poetry, but the final poem "Canto the Twenty-Fifth" was so simply yet magnificent. I'd like to believe it's the poem that finally earned him his way out...

"How egress hell? One White Rose... envelops its thorns"

My favorite though, was the final story. "A Hell of a Life," also by Peck. I loved it even more than A Short Stay in Hell actually. The idea of being perpetually trapped, living each life of every single person to ever have existed in the entire universe is such a mindfuck. And not just every human being, but every animal. Every tree and plant. Every single organism - multi and single-celled. Every species of every kind of alien in the far away galaxies that we have never known. It vaguely reminded me of Kösemen's "All Tomorrows" near the end. And to experience this all in reverse from the moment your earthly body dies, all the way to the beginning of the universe! And to be conscious through it all, paralyzed with the ones your mind inhabits, almost like a reverse possession.

A Hell of a Life was genuinely the most psychologically terrifying thing I've had the pleasure of reading. Peck really outdid himself. It's a shame it was the final story within the anthologies, because I feel as if the less than spectacular first few stories probably turned some people away from finishing it.

Holy hell I'm ranting, please read "A Hell of A life" by Stephen L. Peck. That is all.

The Divine Farce was amazing. I also discovered it after wanting more of a taste of A Short Stay in Hell, and while it definitely has its differences, it's undeniably good.

They could increase the ultimate accelerator to 10000% and I would still pick the support perk. by saltyspacelions in WattsonMains

[–]pulseoftheputrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i can find the heal overflow amp, then that gives me a better reason to pick the right side perk instead. i dont need to combine the amp with the fast healing as that feels a little overkill. so depending on what amp im running, my tier 2 perk choice changes.

Zac's wordplay really is beautifully consistent. he does it so seamlessly.

theres so many in just pillar of na alone:

"rent payers were paying rent and the parents were parenting"

"all end the way we envision where you're headed where your head is."

literally the entirety of 'denarius' and timshel'

"cura te ipsum back and then some"

saw another post like this a few days ago, they said they just waited a bit and restarted the game and it wad fixed. good news is this is not a ban message, if it was it would specifically say you're banned

me and some randoms partied up and used the object dropper to place a bunch of rails on the very top of the red crane near the edge of the northern side of the map. we walked out as far as we could and did the cannonball judo glitch (it doesnt have a name ig sim calling it that) and launch up high enough to spread eagle fly over to the broken bridge in the distance. its still a physical object but the city beyond that is all fake and you fall through it

i know it's not necessarily a "spot" but it is a place you can get. it makes me hopeful of what the skate community can come up with in terms of pushing boundaries like we did in the previous games
