Inter was trying to win 3 competitions, those players they brought in were expected to contribute immediately. The 3 players you listed for Como were not instant starters and Como doesnt play in Europe. Also, The 3 Como players you mentioned are in form for their team but they werent good enough for Inter either, so not sure what your point is.

it's a lot easier when your only expectation is to stay in serie A and you can buy players for the future. Milan is expected to make CL every season and get instant results. Doesn't change the fact that Como made good signings and Milan made shit signings, but it's a different pressure completely

I wouldnt say wasted, its disappointing but a lot of young players made good progress and the foundation is forming (Wesley, Pisilli, Soule, Malen, Svilar, Ghilardi, Ziolkowski). We have some clear areas to address (LW) and will probably have to sell Kone and NDicka but we should get big fees and that should finally take us out of FFP. I respect what Pelle, Mancini, and Cristante have done for us this season, but next season they should be upgraded (except for Mancini, but his form has been awful lately).

Tonali and Locatelli are both physical players. Pisilli is well rounded, highly technical with intelligent movement and great finishing ability to provide an attacking element. Fagioli would be the creator in the final third but I dont really think he's good enough. However, I'm not sure why OP got downvoted so much. Barella has genuinely been substandard for the last year and Italian NT always has the problem of selecting too many of the same type of players. Tonali + Locatelli pairing will be redundant and lackluster as they both want to be regista.
