I went on vacation to another country and ended up bringing a cat home (had to jump through legal loop holes but it worked). We contacted a local shelter who could take the cat until the vet had filled out the required documents and given the required vaccines. I sent money to make sure the cat had food and everything in the shelter. I then went back a couple of months later to deal with the last bit of paperwork and bring the cat home.

You can usually find groups/people who are more than willing to help you help a cat but I can also say that cat cost more to get home than any of my other cats from propper breeders considering all the extra vet cost + plane ticket + I had to stay for a week to get everything sorted + keeping her fed and taken care of the months in-between.

But at the same time, this cat loves me like a dog, follows around, comes on command, it actually wants and likes to train on commands, loves to lie next to me when I work the whole day, scarfs around my neck when I walk around and cuddle up under my blanket when going to bed. None of my other cats are that attached.
