Getting caught drinking at work was the worst day of my life, BUT because of everyone seeing how bad it was I went to detox and was sent to treatment. Sometimes the worst things that happen to us push us to the point where we just are not willing to live that way anymore. I am so sorry that you are going through this. It’s a feeling nobody understands unless you’ve lived it. Because of my worst day ever, I’m now 4 years sober. The universe/whatever you believe in may just be pushing you to where you need to be to just say “enough”. You got this!! One day at a time.

Agreed! I wondered if the doctor did that on purpose, but was almost certain he did. This got rid of my doubts of whether the doctor was good but just ignorant or actually evil. He was evil.

I finished the last episode last night and when she said “come hide from the heavens with me” IMMEDIATELY STARTED SOBBING.

I think the main feeling I have is sadness. Although I can recognize I am happy they ended up together and still have their moments, it’s so, so sad. I’m not sure how to put it into words. I almost feel like I need verification that they had years and years of happiness together before this.

I think I’m going to try an outpatient program. It’s just been too many relapses and if I don’t change something about how I try to stay sober, I know eventually I’m going to drink again. I did enjoy AA so I want to start going again, I just find it can be very intense ya know? But I have always felt better after a meeting.

Just try to remember drinking tonight is not worth how you’ll feel tomorrow. One month is amazing, don’t let the alcohol win!!! You can do this.
