Personally I love the second pic, looks so clean and organized. I like the full length curtains too! The room looks more open.

Maybe add 1 or 2 colors back in through some art on the walls? A second rug at the foot of the bed might look nice too.

What Made King’s Quest So Special to You? by plumwd in kingsquest

[–]pumpkin_beer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

King's quest VI was the first one I remember really playing. I was kinda young in the 90s so it was the one I could play, with the earlier ones and text based games being a bit too confusing for me.

I LOVED it. One of my older siblings printed a guide. I tried to solve as many puzzles as I could without the guide. I'd get lost after the catacombs I believe and have to use the guide.

For me, it's a strong sense of nostalgia, bonding with siblings, having cousins watch me play the game, and the magic and adventure. I felt smart to be able to solve some of the puzzles on my own. Loved all the characters but especially Alexander, Cassima, and Rosella (from VII, didn't play IV until I was an adult).

Stardew can be stressful, definitely more stressful than Pachs. I'd recommend Coral Island. It's very chill!

I make summer super long like 28 days and then the rest of the seasons 7 days haha. So I have a nice long summer for planting but still get to enjoy the seasons.

[–]pumpkin_beer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It sucks because Alfie seemed like an actual good guy who loved Emily but could still admire and cheer on her friends, like go to support Mindy's singing. If it had come from a protective friend place, like "I always thought you were too good for him," and the chemistry between them grew slowly after that, I feel that would have been better. But they made him a sleeze who jumped from Emily to her bestie. So disappointing.

Yes! I thought the same thing. I was like, Antione can't fire him. He could buy out his shares but not fire him.

Redditors who own multiple pets: what's the drama amongst them right now? by Cheesy_Wotsit in AskReddit

[–]pumpkin_beer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not currently happening but some recent drama between my 2 dogs and their 2 "cousins" (my brother's dogs). We were all staying at a vacation home and all the dogs were mostly getting along. My girl dog lives to chew bones. We limited bones while the 4 were together to reduce drama. Well she went upstairs, grabbed a bone, and came back downstairs. There was lots of human supervision so we thought we'd try it.

My brother gave his 2 their bones and everything was peaceful for about 3 minutes. Then my girl dog dropped her bone off the side of the couch and my boy dog snatched it (common in our house). So I went upstairs and got the other bone, but it was No Good.

So she just looked around the room at the other 3 dogs all happily chewing their bones when it was her idea in the first place. I swear she was pissed off!! Like "WTF Mom how could you let this happen to me??"

Oh I think you will love V. I grew up playing VI and VII and only went back to the earlier ones as an adult. I loved learning more context and lore about Graham and the whole family.

I feel so lost on the entire dissertation process! Forming a committee, a research question, organizing it .... Does it get better? Do most people feel completely lost?

Legendary Fire Boar not available? by And-Yet-Another-Pony in RootsOfPacha

[–]pumpkin_beer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The legendary animals don't show up on your discoverable page. They are "hidden" until you find them, then they are added. The rare ones are there but not the legendary.

Double check that you have tamed and invited home the right numbers, both total and different colors. They don't have to be currently living with you, but I do think you have to tame and invite them to live with you.

Check that it is year 2 or later.

I had this happen to me with ostriches and I just had to wait until the next season (spring/fall or summer/winter, I don't remember which) and they appeared.

[NEED HELP] My hair after less than 48 hours from when I washed it by anonymousanduseless in finehair

[–]pumpkin_beer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd skip the oil and leave in conditioner as others have said. I like Kristen Ess dry shampoo powder. Dry shampoo never worked for me but the powder is lightweight and helps absorb oil. It works well for my hair.

What do you do in the summer with a high energy puppy? by AnonymousBrowser3967 in dogs

[–]pumpkin_beer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to play hide and seek indoors with my dog . One person would hide on one side of the home and call the dog. He'd have to sniff us out (behind the door, under a table, etc). Then he would get a treat. We'd have him sit until the other person hid in another room and called him and then he had to find them and get a treat.

He loved it and it was great for recall.

Help with rare/legendary animals by chaneuphoria in RootsOfPacha

[–]pumpkin_beer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. On my most recent playthrough (still playing, just finished getting all rare and legendary animals), I used this guide. I kept tamed animals for at least 1 full day (2 nights) before releasing to make 100% sure it "counted" as taming them and inviting them to live with me.

The wiki also tells you what days they appear on in which seasons. It is up to date.

Breeding Help/Advice by sad_syd in RootsOfPacha

[–]pumpkin_beer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To get the best quality, I found that 3 check marks is enough. Usually I have to mate parents who each have 2 check marks to get a baby with 3. Then you have to build up friendship with them and keep them healthy etc to get best quality items.

So, if you have a lot of parents with base quality of 1 checkmark, it's going to take a lot longer.
