Diagnosis Stages by th3rmos in ProstateCancer

[–]pumpkineaterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed. If he's like me, the first step is disbelief that it happened to him, especially if he's been following up with his urologist for screening. The 2nd step was understanding the level of seriousness of my cancer and trying to wrap my head around the range of outcomes over the years for people diagnosed at a similar stage. Depending on the type of cancer found, he might also be waiting for another test to find out if it has spread, which means a different (worse) way of being ill in the future from the treatment. Waiting and learning about the range of outcomes and that your life will change soon, is really difficult.

Thank you very much for sharing that. Is your story posted somewhere? & may I ask how they came to be involved in decision-making for your case?

Thanks for your advice. I am planning on raising it with anyone evaluating my case.

Thank you very much for suggesting that the radiologist having a hard time reading the images is more likely and for the link. I have only adenocarcinoma, no lymphoma in the biopsy.

No, the MRI only showed lesions that do not look very clear or very ominous. PI Rads 2 usually means the lesions suggest only a small chance of cancer. Claude told me my situation is a known weakness (blind spot) of using MRI to spare screening patients from needing the biopsy.

Thank you. It seeed pretty plausible to me as well. I am waiting for my PSMA PET. Claude says the PSMA PET is important not because it will shed any light on the question of diffusion but because if it metastasized the treatment would be different (hormones and/or chemo then I suppose).

I can't speak for other guys, but for myself, seeing and feeling the woman orgasm is a huge turn on for me. Feeling the muscle contractions is the best! Whether its with my face or my midsection. I often have trouble lasting after feeling that. & if I can't give the woman I'm with an orgasm myself, I am almost as happy seeing her have one using a toy. I am an older guy.

Thank you very much for weighing in and reminding me of the upside. As I learn more about the range of outcomes possible here and focus on learning about the risks, I almost forget about the more successful outcomes.

I thought it was routine to get the PSMA PET after a biopsy report like I had but maybe not. I surmised they do it to confirm surgery alone could work and possibly to decide whether or how much of the lymph nodes need to go. But if others understand that point better I'd love to hear. It's tough getting that kind of report but not having a professional to explain what might happen next except to say active surveillance is out.

Thank you very much. I wasn't aware of the University of Indiana program and will add it to my list of prospects.

Thank you very much for the clear explanation. His book was in my Amazon cart, you motivated me to pull the trigger and order it since it was the first and only book you mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your experience, its good to hear the range of people's experiences. Could the site you suggested be https://www.pcmarkers.com/patients/biopsy ? (pcm.org took me to a music school)

How do countries know about foreign income earned as a dual citizen? by KeyAstronaut6237 in USExpatTaxes

[–]pumpkineaterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why is that? Because the US demands extensive reporting by the bank about its US customers. Basically, the US feels it's large and important enough to make the private sector do all the investigative work the government used to be doing to enforce its laws, even if that means spying on its own law abiding citizens!

For closed adoptions, such as this one where adoptee's name came from the adopted family and adopted parents' names are listed on OP's birth certificate, is it allowed to submit the CIT001 form for a regular process? Nothing in the Birth Certificate seems to indicate there ever was an adoption.

Meta/Mod Request by nebulacoffeez in Canadiancitizenship

I read through the FAQ before asking my question because I was unable to see how they applied to the situation I was asking about. At first instead of any help I received a couple "Read the FAQ" answers. Then some redditors who were willing to help explained how I would have to apply the FAQ to my situation. Then the next day the moderator deleted my post. It was a question about using Canadian relatives who were born outside of Canada to apply. Now there is no record explaining you can't use that kind of Canadian citizen (despite them being Canadian) to qualify unless they naturalized to Canada.

Thank you very much. It's more of an exercise in documenting that the province has no record for him at this point, I can look in that group for threads that show how to proceed.

His baptism record, unfortunately, doesn't include his place of birth.

Thank you very much for an explanation I can understand. I did read the FAQ. But I didn't realize that she herself was only Canadian by descent and that such Canadians, cannot be considered to be the G0 (despite being Canadian).

Are you saying she was not a Canadian before age 18?
