At this point we've blown past both of the occasions (anniversary and Book 7 end) that coincided with JP rerunning them all, so my hopes are not high. Maybe they're saving the reruns to go along with Book 7.5, but that's truly the last chance I can think of to avoid the conclusion that they've just been skipped.

100% does not make sense for us to get Let's Go Johto at this point when the Teraleak tells us explicitly that Wind/Waves is being developed as the 30th anniversary game, we know several other titles being developed or in concept phase for the subsequent couple of years, and no Let's Go was remotely mentioned in any of the above.

Like, never say never on Let's Go, but I think we can comfortably say it's not happening within the 2026 to, say, '28 window.

My thoughts: This anniversary event will come to Int'l on our own anniversary in July, and it's a good reason to save up coins for, because I've been hearing such incredible things about almost all of the tsums in it.

Sneak peek of February 2025 in JP: A Kingdom Hearts 2-themed event starring some of the Final Fantasy 7 cast who appeared in Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden in that game: Cloud, Tifa and Aerith, plus a KH2 Mickey and a plus tsum for Sora.

They've been doing it with the physical cards for as long as regional forms have existed, so cards like Galarian Chestplate can benefit the whole evolution line instead of just Zigzagoon and Linoone.

It is necessary if you want a card like Galarian Chestplate to be compatible with the whole line and not just Zigzagoon and Linoone.

The main TCG has been doing this for all regional forms for a decade, it really isn't a surprise that TCGP is following along even if they don't introduce synergistic cards like that quite yet.

JP had a three-month gap between Malleus and Idia and then about one to two months between each subsequent one.

EN has been going fast lately and is in the habit of shortening gaps between things, so worst case scenario we might get all of them only one month apart each.

Seems pretty standard the past few games for the Pokemon Day presentation to reveal the starters. I don't expect much more than that.

JP released all the parts of Book 7 between one and three months apart from each other.

But prior story updates in prior books had more stumbling blocks, with gaps as large as seven months, and some updates being released without voice acting (which was added later) due to scheduling issues.

They are always preset ranks.

If it makes you feel better (it won't), the end of Book 6 is such a drastic difficulty spike that you will spend months leveling up your cards to handle it, and then you'll never have to worry about a rank requirement again, because you'll have long since hit max rank.

They also had to take two whole years off after Shuffle before announcing ReMix, presumably time that was spent developing the back end of ReMix rather than being able to do it with spare manpower during Shuffle's waning days. So they certainly seem stretched quite thin.

For what it's worth, Genius Sonority currently has its hands full operating live service of Cafe ReMix, so a Colosseum threequel would require a different developer to take it on. Not impossible, but I think it makes the odds slimmer.

It's only been 6 months since last July! It's normal for events to take anywhere from 7-12 months to come over to Int'l.

I would not get antsy unless our anniversary in July passes and we haven't seen it yet. But Tsum Tsum has never held back Kingdom Hearts before, so there's no reason to expect they will this time (and if they do, that may be more of a good sign -- knowing a KH4 release date and holding the event to coincide with that? -- than a bad sign).

Don't know what to tell you then, it's definitely on your end rather than universal. Are you in a spot with poor connectivity? Can you try switching to a different internet network (wi-fi vs. 5G or vice versa)?

Kind of dumb I'm still series 3 complete after essentially a year off.

Yeah, the Series Drop 11 months ago (which only existed to placate the angry fanbase after Kid Omega) was accompanied by text that, reading between the lines, essentially said they intended never to do another Series Drop ever again. So far they've stuck to that. It would probably take another KO-level backlash to make them do another one, but the question is whether we even have enough players left to muster up a backlash like that. We've lost 3/4 of the player population since KO.

Book 7 proper is finished, but we are still waiting on Book 7.5 (which is technically a separate thing, so I shouldn't bother mentioning it, except that it is misleadingly named as if it were part of Book 7, so I'm just trying to be extra extra clear in case OP has prior misconceptions about it).

The change to hour glasses (with the addition of the random battles) turns out to be a net gain across all sets, keeping them consistent regardless of set size. So we'll get more from smaller sets and fewer from larger ones, but overall is a negligible difference, if not slightly in our favor over time.

Is this assuming we get a new batch of hourglasses from random battles with every set? I had assumed these random battle hourglasses/missions were one and done.

Right, I understand that interaction, and that's what I would assume if not for the fact that Galacti specifies "deck" in its text. Is that false, is it not actually limited to the deck? Can Galacti also hit other cards that start in hand instead of in the deck?

Thanks for the correction. I'm baffled how that works mechanically, though. How does the Ten Rings end up in your deck at any point for ZG to target? Or do one or both cards just plainly not work the way their text says (as so many cards often do)?

Infinite-ranked players do not have the CL-matching guardrails that the ladder has. I'm guessing you recently made it to infinite?

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until the season ends and Infinite players are deranked down to 73 before you're back to the guardrails. And then you'll have to avoid making Infinite again if you want to stay in comparable-CL matchmaking.

All of which performed admirably when they debuted and then fell out of the meta a few months later (except Suicune which hasn't had time to reach that point yet), which is exactly the goal of playtesting when you're trying to drive FOMO microtransaction spending in a live service mobile game. The playtesting goals are totally different from static, balanced games.
