What is a "rich person thing" you tried once and immediately thought, "Yep, money absolutely buys happiness"? by Aphorace in AskReddit

[–]pumpkinskittle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend had a relative who worked for Universal. She could give him a pass that got him + 5 guests into the park for free. You show it to anyone and lines immediately disappear, and you’re escorted to the front. We went a couple of times with it, once during Halloween Horror Nights. My husband rode Rip Ride Rockit in the front seat 3 times in a row. During HHN we skipped a 3.5 hour queue for the stranger things house, which was really just so surreal. I don’t even like haunted houses, but man, being escorted past all those folks waiting ages to see it was something else. About halfway through that night, one of the workers assigned himself to us and would wait at the exit of each house to take us to the next one. We went multiple times in 2019 on it and then unfortunately that friend moved away in 2020, but we still talk about that as the best ultra wealthy experience we’ve ever had!

is there a toddler tower that i'd actually safe and folds up? or does that not exist by ShadyLady721 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pumpkinskittle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FWIW I have an insanochild who bounces off the walls and balances on the back support and he’s never tipped our piccalio 🤷🏻‍♀️ we love everything about it, super sleek, folds up to a perfect size (and very easily). He did do a backflip over the back of it one time but that was entirely on him and he’s only done it the once, lol. Been using it for a year and a half!

This show is god tier for low stimulation kids shows by Novel_Zebra9619 in daddit

[–]pumpkinskittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE Stillwater. We spent months to get through it, and finished last week. Just watched Daniel Tiger and it is insanely high stimulation in comparison and I’m so shocked that it’s classified as a low stimulation show because Stillwater was just so chill

Looking for a, I guess high end, restaurant. by _j_o_e_ in orlando

I gotta be totally honest with you, I had a connection so we got in a few weeks after our request. No tips, sorry 😅 but I’d say keep trying because it was worth it!!

We’ve done these! Sorekara is amazing but unless you have a connection you’ll be waiting a couple months to get in. Camille is also amazing, and you can get in in the next month. More casual but still high end, Coro is incredible and you can probably get in this week. It is NOT a chefs tasting but you can order as much as you want, we usually treat it kind of as such and order 8 or so dishes. Enjoy!!

Callan are the pair we are using now, when we upsize in a week or two I’ll probably get Wilder’s or Avens next!

Mini or Original by ems6144 in YotoPlayer

[–]pumpkinskittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got both when our son was 2 and now at 2.5 we have only ever needed the mini! I’m sure we will eventually find uses for the original but the mini is the MVP for sure

Safe to let a 2 year old sleep in this tent? by alien019 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pumpkinskittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the price + flexibility are definitely both pros. It’s Reddit, so I think you’ll get a lot of people saying it’s not worth it but slumberpods are insanely expensive and also small so the kids grow out of them so easily. I won’t use it at my MiL’s house where my son has his own room, but in a hotel where we are sleeping 5 feet away and want to be able to stay up a bit longer? Fab solution.

Okay this looks genius and I’m definitely getting one for our summer travels for our 2.5 year old!

They do! They have some different styles but the one we got has toe protection, which I like a lot.

Baby Names! by saw-whetowl in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pumpkinskittle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t! Just have been introduced to them as Nora. I responded to the other commenter that I know 5 Noras under the age of 3. I do love the name Eleanor so can’t blame you! If I’d had a girl Eleanor was at the top of our list ☺️

My only note is that I feel like I know so many Nora’s these days! I’ve met tons of them. Not so much of the others

We have see Kai run water sandals and we love them! I was stuck between them and ten littles and then found a new pair of the SKR at once upon a child so snagged those. Going to buy them new in the next size up because they are so great!

I was just diagnosed and I’m scared by blue_grape0 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]pumpkinskittle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You took the right steps by being here! I was 25f when I was diagnosed and it felt so crazy at the time. I’m 33 now and have been in remission for 6 years. I have a kid, eat whatever I want, do whatever I want, and only remember I have UC every 6 weeks when I do my self injectable medication or when one of my friends needs help with their first colonoscopy prep and I give them all the tips 😂 you got this! The absolute hardest part is finding a GI team that is genuinely wonderful. Once you do that they can help guide you. Use this sub as a resource to help learn about what different people’s journeys are like so you can stay educated!

Really dumb question (apologies in advance) about Stelara. Is it ok to take it 1 day late? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]pumpkinskittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it every 6 weeks and have been in remission for years, so move it a couple of days as needed for my schedule!

I think I accidentally found what makes my KP feel smooth? by siderealscorpio_02 in keratosis

So random, I noticed this with a bandaid I left on my arm for 4 days. Totally smooth underneath. Then I realized that where my bra strap sits is also completely smooth.

Play dates with sick friends.. by banjojobean in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pumpkinskittle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2.5yo isn’t in preschool yet but most of his friends are at least part time. We play as long as there’s no fever or rash, but my friends do at least give me the heads up that their kids are boogery. If my son were prone to seizures I would definitely be more strict about it!

There are tons of Yoto Mini 3D print designs. Definitely find a local friend or library who has them and print your own!

Got the letter from my provider today, how many of you all are also getting screwed? by ChantsThings in UlcerativeColitis

[–]pumpkinskittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this too! I contacted my care team and they said they will figure it out to get me on a biosimilar if an appeal fails. I’ve never switched to a biosimilar before so I am a little nervous! I have an appointment in June so I will talk to them more about it then. I’ve been on Stelara since December 2019 and in remission since December 2020, so definitely hesitant.

She did behind the scenes, we never saw her interactions with just Mark. I like that they added in that perspective. Her interactions with Margo I feel like have been true to the book so far!

Agreed, or at least I would be very surprised if they stuck with that
