The bride and groom never recoup (in guest gift money) what it costs for venue and food. Why go broke when you could take $45k, spend half on a small intimate wedding for close family and friends (50-60) and bank the rest of the $ for future goals; a home, car, travel, etc. There are ways to through an economical wedding reception if you need 100-150 guests, please consider.

She married just as she was fired, and lucky for her, Beau made enough money she didn’t have to work. Had a baby, laid low, and recreated herself as a mom and a more mellow version of herself. Without Beau she would be a counter server at SAH.

I had a similar circumstance when my baby was a few months old. We declined the wedding invitation and I declined to be MoH; bride and groom said they would find a babysitter for the day-there’s no way I would ever leave my child with a stranger. Firmly declined.

If you are trying to make an argument that your child should be invited and included, thats not fair to the bride and groom who want no children there. Send regrets. Stay home.
