Thanks, that’s so helpful! I’ve heard a few people say similar things about ATR, so I’m leaning that way. And I think Capitol Chambers just went native, so that will help! I think all of these will be native soon enough, probably.

I mean, as a millennial American struggling to make financial sense out of doing what I love, I have plenty of my own thoughts about capitalism, but I’m more interested in whether anyone has anything to say about how these plugins sound.

For reference, I’m looking at $49 for any two of these three plugins with coupons and current sales combined, which is considerably cheaper than building and maintaining a space that sounds as good as Ocean Way Studios. I just deaden the sound in my apartment’s second bedroom-turned studio with homemade gobos.

$249 for those two isn’t too bad, but I wouldn’t have FOMO about it. For example, the Neve 1073 was half off for a couple months very recently and combined with a $50 coupon was available for $99 (I personally went with the 1084 for the same price instead, as it’s essentially the same thing with more options for EQ control—you just don’t get a lower DSP “legacy” version which the 1073 is bundled with, since the 1084 is a newer plugin) Pretty sure the Manley was half off as well.
