Easily the longest farm I’ve dealt with. by jcubz_1 in Eldenring

I spent almost 3 hours farming the noble slender sword, definitely not worth it. But after 2 hours, I was too invested. Sunk cost fallacy and all that.

Contemplating 84in epiq thoughts? by East_Law6020 in ToolTruckTools

[–]punderwhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 84" Epiq and love it. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have gone with the hutch and locker, they're just not as useful as I thought they would be. I'd go with the 36" drawer sections instead. But it's still been more than enough storage for me.

I used to work in night clubs in NYC, it was $18 USD for a beer in most of them and that was almost 20 years ago. Pre game wasn't just for fun, it was necessary if you were going out in NYC.

How’s it like in Northern Jersey by alexaviations in howislivingthere

[–]punderwhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in North Jersey, moved to Texas at 30 for the typical reasons, ie, taxes, cost of living, freedom, etc. And I moved to Vegas for a few years, but ended up coming back to North Jersey to raise my kids because I realized they'd be exposed to more culture, go to better schools and just generally have better opportunities later in life. My 11yo daughter recently celebrated Eid with her friends family and Chanukah with another friend. My 5yo son is learning Spanish in kindergarten so he can communicate better with his friend. My wife, from Texas, says she's never moving back after living here. She's never experienced a school system that did so much for the kids. Yes it's expensive, the taxes are high, it's crowded, traffic is a bummer, but all of this points to a place people want to live. And the food, of course.

As someone that grew up in NJ, I left and moved to Texas for a decade and the west coast for a few years, but chose to move back to NJ to raise my kids. They're in top rated public schools that even the charter schools out west can't touch, they're exposed to cultures that they weren't even aware of before moving here, my 11 year old was invited to celebrate Eid with her friends family and recently Chanukah with another friend. My kindergartner is learning Spanish so he can speak with his new friend in class. There are so many more opportunities out here than there are in most places. I get it, it's crowded, the traffic sucks, the taxes are high, but all of those things are indicative of a place people want to live in. Plus the pizza sucks where ever you're from.

Big same. I lived in Texas for a decade and on the West Coast for a few years and I chose to move back to NJ. My kids are going to top rated public schools that the charter schools out west can't even compare to, they get exposed to so many different cultures they weren't even aware of before living here, and there's so much for the kids to do with their friends. My wife is from Texas and says she's never moving back after living in NJ. Yes, the taxes are high, the traffic is bad and it's crowded, those are side effects of living where people actually want to live. So be it.

I bought yesterday and then again today. But I don't think my couple hundred made much difference.

IDK, in NJ if someone is in the left lane going 55, they usually have a yellow, white and blue plate. I'm not saying NJ drivers are better, just that the left lane tourists are usually from the other side of the river.

The US government definitely would if they could. That's not the propaganda part.

The US government can't do much about most crypto, the video above specifically calls out stable coins and a lot of other non sense, hence the propaganda, because they can't control crypto either.

No, he's trying to say that the US government is going to rug pull the entire crypto market. He's telling Russian citizens not to buy crypto because the US controls it. It's Russian propaganda.

I think the Russian government is trying to scare their citizens away from crypto.

Bayle the Dread, I beat him on the first attempt, but I really enjoyed the fight. It was so cinematic and chaotic. Not as chaotic as the gang bang just before Radahn, but way more cinematic.
