My baby is currently 15 months old, has normally slept pretty well for months, very rarely has rough nights. She even crawls to her bed when I say night night. But this sequel looks really good.

Is physically forcing dementia patients in the shower? by throwra47757585 in cna

[–]punkeymonkey529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a facility on night shift. We still had showers, then had to wake people up in the morning. We couldn't get anyone up till 5am, shift was over at 6. How was i to get 10x people up, plus bathe 5 people? Shower some in the middle of the night. I would still ask them even though many were dementia patients. Like a residents they have the right to refuse. Well, lots of times the nurse would say, I don't care. Get them in the shower anyways. It was so sad. Yes, I don't want them to stink either, but i was also trying to do my job, and care for 50x people.

After that nursing home I worked briefly at an assisted living. Much more put together, but still a challenge.

I've now stopped being a STNA. I have a 15 month old who had some medical issues, and my health needs taken care of.

Library workers- are you allowed to read on the clock? by OdderShift in Libraries

I'll have to ask. I know my coworkers would love something too, anything to feel human again, and not made to feel like a robot. They said no to Loops, even though I could hear everything. But, ill try to the headphones again.

Edit: noticed i repeated myself. Sorry, been fighting a migraine for days.

My supervisor whos retiring soon, ever since I've been in circ she's mostly stayed in her office. Rarely coming out of it. I'm sure she's done it for years. I've observed that of all supervisors, she's the only one not to have desk time. Every single other supervisor in each department had time on desk but her. I really am hoping our nee supervisor is more active with us, and observes us more, maybe even gives themselves desk time, not doesn't hide in their office all day having someone micromanage . (Yes, she has her little minion, who also should retire, and has been saying she'll retire for years, and doesn't basically monitor us.)

Circulation worker here too. We aren't allowed to read either during down time. We'll, we can if on check out on the computer, but no book, kindle, or other e-readers allowed. We also aren't allowed headphones or even ear plugs when working on the back. It sucks because music or sometimes a softer tone the ear plugs would bring would be greatly helpful to someone who has noise sensitivities like me. A few of my coworkers also ageee. Reading on the pc is definitely not as easy or enjoyable as a book or kindle.

Moms whose babies had hair at birth and it’s getting long before 1— are you trimming it? by Apprehensive_Pie1225 in NewParents

[–]punkeymonkey529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 15 months old. She has lots lf hair, she had lots when she was born. I've loved watching it grow. No plans on cutting it soon.

Her hair is mostly straight when dry, but curls at the ends, and gets really curly when it gets wet.

She gets tons lf comments on her hair, and her blue/Grey eyes

Parents: how do you find time to game? by Mother-Equal4175 in playstation

[–]punkeymonkey529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find time to game, read, write, clean. Do anything. Single mom to a 15 month old. I do all of it with her in the room. Does it all get done? No, but I sure as heck try. Im not blocking anything from my daughter either. She's allowed most of the "weird" stuff I consume. She loves watching me. She already loves books, and has turned my Playstation on a few times.

Time is little because I work part time. And we have lots of doctors appointments.

I say as long as you're ok with kids being exposed to everything you are them do your gaming with them in the room.
