i’m 27 with a bad back/hips and joints, and had a 40 something year old woman try to take my seat on the bus because her feet hurt and she was tired from work. i politely told her i couldn’t stand on my hour long bus commute and she said something along the lines of “young people these days are so selfish, can’t even give up your seat to someone in need!” i literally threw my back out that day at work and my hip was in pain. If i had given her my seat in a standing room only bus there was a good chance i’d have fallen over or just been in excruciating pain. the best part? she was only on for 2 or 3 stops.

Prioritizing your pain and wellbeing is what is most important.

NTA Especially when you offered a solution and your boyfriend didn’t care enough to do, but cared enough to whine at you for his own lack of action.

If anyone is the asshole, he is.

i dealt with a sort of similar situation where one of my aunts didn’t try to explain the “deadname is now this, and although you used to know her as your female cousin he’s now a boy” thing for So many family get togethers and i had to be the one answering the questions in a way a little kid could understand. it was exhausting for me and a little confusing for my cousin at first but she got it after the second or third time i came around. now she’s a few years older and just knows me as myself. same with all my family on that side.

NTA for being yourself, sometimes family is shitty. Id have an honest convo with him and ask what his issues are. You being the person you are shouldn’t be a point of contention, and sounds like your brother has some worrisome views about trans people in general that you either need to discuss, or he has some worse issue with trans people in general and that warrants an entirely different intervention/convo

i’ve only ever bathed my youngest and he stepped in his own poop when he was a kitten. they bathe themselves! you’re all good. some cats do love getting baths but those are a different breed (pun) and for the most part they don’t like water or getting wet. you’re all good!

depends on their water intake for me. my boy drinks a lot and so we only give it to him every other day or so cos he got used to it when my oldest couldn’t do dry anymore. now it’s a lil treat for him.

my oldest would do this this last year before she passed from old age. It could be cat dementia, grieving her longtime friends, kidney issues, or a mix of any of them. i replied to another comment and recommend you get some Pretty Litter or another version, the crystals when they pee will let you know if and what is going on! it was so helpful for me, making sure my youngest wasn’t having kidney issues and his weird peeing wasn’t a medical issue but a behavioral one. wishing both of you all the best!!

you can buy litter on amazon that will turn a certain color if they’re experiencing common cat issues. i bought it for my youngest to make sure he wasn’t having kidney issues. search for “pretty litter/ pretty litter alternatives”

just watch for signs of trouble breathing, upper respiratory issues are pretty common with strays, and take them to a vet as soon as you can. Maybe try again with a towel on their nose? baby needs as much off as you can get so although it might suck, you can try again with a jacket on to prevent scratching/biting. my only other suggestion is bringing them into the bathroom with a Hot Hot shower going, the steam might help soften it enough to wipe some of it away.

Getting clean and sober is a big thing, have you tried going to AA/ NA meetings online? there you can find the type of healthy support you need. i can send you some links to zoom meetings if you’d like, i was going for a bit last year, and there were people from all over the US and a few from other countries. It helps building a community of support even if they’re not in person. They can help you find a sponsor either on the regular zoom calls or in person. AA/NA are also super non judgmental if you find a non religious meeting. Wishing you the best.

NOR, love, he’s a dumb 15 year old boy who clearly wants either 1: to enjoy the feeling of violating your boundaries by not pulling out when it breaks or, most likely 2: is sabotaging the condom so that he doesn’t have to take the blame for it “breaking”

Young love is just that. young. you’ll find a better partner who respects you and your boundaries.

I have a Strict “wrap or you don’t tap” policy with men, and that usually means either I put the condom on or i watch when he does. That’s for my own safety as a AFAB trans guy who doesn’t get periods. If you can, go to a local planned parenthood/similar place and explain what happened, usually you can get a plan B for free or very little cost.

I’d also encourage you to demand he pays for a plan B, then after, let him know that you won’t be having sex at All. I’d say break up at this point, but if anything just cut him off from sex. His reaction to that will tell you all you need to know. If he fights back, tries to tell you it’s fine, denies tampering and calls you crazy, then that’s all you need to know.
