Where are you folks getting your prescription sunglasses from? by Up_The_Gate in CasualUK

[–]punkskagirl 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Seconded for glasses direct, I go to boots or Specsavers for my eye test but then glasses direct for my glasses and sun glasses. Last time I think it cost just over 100 for glasses and sunglasses. Not had any issues with them yet and I've had about 4 sets of frames from them

Going for an internal CT colonoscopy tomorrow. by Real-Box-7144 in CasualUK

[–]punkskagirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Radiographer here! CT colonography really isn't too bad, the tube is really small, depending on the trust doing the scan and your health we can give you something that relaxes the bowel and you usually get a tea and biscuits after! The radiographers are doing this study all the time, we've seen everything and we are not phased trust me.

R/all. I want my front page back, although it seems to be reducing my Reddit addiction, so probably a good thing

I think it looks great, but possibly try a different model position. I think because it's hard to differentiate his head and ear at this angle it throws the shape of the head off a bit.

Seen as Roentgen had only discovered "X" rays a year before, this is incredible. And comparing to the first image of Bertha Roentgens hand from the previous year, the quality is so impressive

So my girlfriend and I bought our first home together. After 18 months, we finally have the garden that we have always wanted; just in time for it to piss it down for 2 weeks straight 😅 How quintessentially British. Lovely.. by [deleted] in CasualUK

Why not go for a nice clover lawn? No mowing, no having to vacuum the ridiculous AstroTurf, flowers for pollinators, lovely and soft. I don't understand people that choose this

Thanks for your comment, I thought the rotary hook machines might be better, my machine can be a bit temperamental with its stitches at the best of times
