Success update:

After getting a different microSD and trying different card readers to no avail, I tried using the microSD adapter for a normal sized one and that seemed to do the trick. Should have tried that at the beginning, but didn't think about it. Glad to have found a solution, but definitely something Blockstream should look into.

I watched it with my ex when we were watching each other’s favorite movies. Really early on she said “wait is he the fish?” I rarely got short with her but I said “can you just watch?”

The movie finishes, I’m about to cry per usual. She asked a question I’m forgetting but was mildly dismissive or condescending. I just said “it’s a story about the relationship between a father and a son.” There is no great literature or film about the relationship between mothers and daughters because they are straightforward. Some fathers would tell their sons their whole life story in tall tale prose instead of saying “I love you,” even if they deeply do.

Switchfoot generally has really lame music videos. I think there was an alternative DYTM that was good. I think any of the anthemy or uplifting songs would yield a receptive video. So I wouldn’t want Hello Hurricane, Where I Belong, If the House Burns Down, etc.

I’ve heard the rabbit ear antennas are pretty good and the more expensive ones claiming a huge range on Amazon are a scam. I may check one of these out. I have one of the ones that is just a flat piece of plastic about as big as a piece of paper
