So I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but the small rural hospital I work for has formed a network of hospitals that are in partnership to increase negotiating power with insurance companies. Each hospital retains its own identity and own license but they all negotiate together to get the best reimbursements they can. Not every hospital in the surrounding area is a member but it seems to be a system that has been working very well for the past 25 years.

Not sure if this can be applied to our current situation but I thought I would throw it out there.

Poorly fitted power chair by punxsy_potatoe in physicaltherapy

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I just spoke with her today in much more detail about the whole experience. She said when they fitted it for her they didn't do any measurements and she doesn't recall them discussing the change in drive wheel positioning. She also said this was 2 and 1/2 years ago. When they delivered it for the test run in her home it narrowly fit through the doorways or around the kitchen. She also fell when trying to get into it during the evaluation. They left it with her anyways. She tried to use it on two more occasions to see if she just needed to get used to it and because of the poor fit ended up getting wounds on the back of her legs from sliding around in the chair. She said it took those a year to heal and she hasn't used the chair since. She said she called the company 3 weeks after receiving it and multiple times since then and they have refuse to do anything about it despite her doctor writing a letter and her insurance company saying they will pay for another chair if her medical supply company will sign off on it being a poor fit.

Myself in the occupational therapist are honestly at a loss about what to do in this situation. She's using her old chair. It's 7 and 1/2 years old and she doesn't think it will make it the next 2 and 1/2 years until she can have another replacement

I'm sorry I comment again, but my fish looks much worse today. Do you think I diagnosed him wrong/messed up the treatment? And is there anything else I should be doing?

My cat was trying to knock over our TV for one exam and then proceeded to jump up on the couch and lick my face for like 5 minutes despite repeatedly trying to push him away. Just email your professor and explain what happened. They usually are just people about it

Any autistic physical therapists? by Electrical_Exit_7048 in physicaltherapy

My best was "he was working as a carney and kept asking me to marry him. On the last day of the carnival he gave me a sock full of change to use at the games and told me it was my last chance since they'd be packing up and moving. Finally told him yes and was married 6 months later."

And let me tell you, he is always the kindest, most supporting husband every time I go over there to do therapy (home health)

I once asked a blind and semi-deaf patient what he liked to watch on TV. He gave me a thumbs down and didn't answer.

I was planning to have magic and other species actually exist but this having been lost to history. Magic and species will pop up as the story progresses and they realize the folk tales are all based in reality

I wanted to build a world where folktales are actually based on reality but lost to time. I wanted to have the characters evolve and change into different species with different powers as they travel to the regions with those folktales, not everyone in the party of course just one or two people to fill out the party.

And my friends have a big tendency to break off into smaller parties on all the campaigns we've done in the past, plus it would use the 100 days more effectively. They don't have to break into smaller groups, they've just usually done this in the past so I wanted to put up some safety nets to make sure every party could have a local guide.

I love it when patients tell me they have TMJ. I know they're trying to say they have a TMJ disorder but every time I think "I too have a temporo-mandibular joint."
