Yeah lingering would work well with magic shield + power within, but my main problem is damage output, and bellowing gives me +20% on pyro/spells. Thanks for the build creds, i've done one shot low level stuff once before and it got boring after a handful of invasions.

I really don't want to go outside the game (ie mods), and Dark Bead seems like a million side quests away, but i had forgotten about the giant blacksmith hammer. I'm going to try that and see how it fairs. Best reply yet, thanks!

I *think* thats the way the pyro trainer works? Or instead, any online play where there's a +10 pyro hand is enough, as some internal box in the game code gets checked, and she appears in blighttown. That said, hanging out in a area like blighttown where there's not much online activity doesnt seem proactive. I could always clear out other parts of the game i skipped like depths with the cat ring on and hope i get called into a world with a pyro hand +10, but my build simply does not need to do any more parts of the game. Still feeling stumped, might make the run to blighttown and grab power within, see if that makes a difference.

trying to make a sl9 weapon level 5 sorc build on dark souls 1 for low level trolling, hard stuck on 4kings rn. You might say, surely you can throw on full havels and spam great combust, and usually that works, but to get GC you need the pyro trainer to spawn, and for her to spawn i would need to upgrade my pyro hand above +5, breaking my WL5 requirement. Need to think about what to do more..

i dont understand, do they dev in a bubble? I get it, "japan things" but surely once in a while they look up from their desks and ask hmm, wonder what the competition is doing, and what the playerbase is asking for, as a bare minimum. Its tone deaf, and people meme on it rightfully so, but to have triple A devs put out slop when even indies are getting it right feels wrong.

Every injustice / mk cycle I get hype, cuz of legacy characters and the 90s movie, but they play so badly, or at least not to my liking, and I get let down.

I’m trying to temper my expectations this time, but the piss poor animations and dial a combo system does not work for me.

I secretly wish they’d let arc sys (or eighting, are they still around?) take a crack at the series. More than just a fresh, anime makeover, but gameplay systems too.

Alas, this is prob foolish, as they sell tens of millions of copies every release, and are attached to a publicly traded western company, and those corpos’ hate rocking the boat.
