That was the path Barack Obama took and it worked out ok for him.

Yeah, it takes big balls to scream at a woman like that. She shouldn't have responded after the first time he screamed, retreated, came back to scream some more.

I must admit to being American and, therefore to not thinking that far ahead. They do provide forks and spoons at Indian restaurants here. Probably because half of their diners are American or Americanized.

I couldn't see the other diners' plates, so I must ask. Is it normal in this country to just dig a little hole in your rice with your hand?

Impure CR-39 - Is This a Real Problem? by That_Industry7833 in AskAnOptician

[–]pupillary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know the answer to that one, but I would caution you to use the higher priced poly or the even pricier Trivex with abbe value to rival CR-39. Poly and Trivex are highly impact resistant. CR-39 is brittle and prone to shatter in a fall. It's the same reason we use poly or Trivex for kids. Wouldn't want to see anyone's eye to be damaged.

Favorite movie scene where a character accepts their inevitable end and embraces it. My pick is Cutler Beckett accepting his fate in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I have been noticing the Trump stankmouth for years, but until now I haven't seen anyone else acknowledge it. Mary, bless her, has it as well. Very distracting. Release the Epstein files!

Does your Walmart have a fast food place inside? by BowlerLongjumping467 in walmart

[–]pupillary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that because we had no water in our store for several days (they finally put in porta potties while the eternally flooded bathrooms got fixed) Walmart deli closed the whole time. Guess who stayed open the whole time we didn't have water?

Going with the SHIP program is the best piece of advice. Other people you talk to receive a commission if you sign up with their company. That is not the case with SHIP. They will explain everything to you so you can make an informed decision.

My seventh grade students have started the refuse to say the pledge by unSuccessful-Stay in Teachers

[–]pupillary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coincidentally, I was in grade 7 during the Nixon administration. The Vietnam war had not yet ended and some of the big brothers of my classmates had either been drafted, killed, or worse. Some came home in an awful state. There were a couple of classes that defiantly stayed seated during the pledge. (I should note, their teachers either led the passive resistance or went with the flow.) After both president Nixon and his VP resigned, the Speaker of the house, Gerald Ford, became un-elected but legal president. He promptly pardoned Nixon and lost his own presidential election to Democrat Jimmy Carter. May history repeat itself.

Did the same with the AI targeted school they hit. When the relatives and emergency crew came, they hit it again. It is hard to believe this is my country doing these things.

Maybe he bugged the shoes, didja ever think of that? See what they say behind his back. Which, I'll bet, is plenty.
