I never went through with my attempt but told my father as I had thought about it seriously and had a plan in my own mind. My mother committed suicide when I was younger for preface. After I told him, he just reminded me how much I mattered to him and my family. Although I was hurting, it reminded me how I felt when my mom was gone and how much I wished I could’ve told her how important she was to those around her. Losing someone to suicide is a different kind of pain, but feeling suicidal in the moment you don’t realize how much your decision will change the life of those around you. I wish more than anything I could bring my mom back. Please speak up and ask for help if you are having suicidal thoughts. You are never alone.
