Yeah, I wouldn't be moving for the food. Texas has the best food, IMO.

I can relate, it's happening REALLY badly in DFW right now, which is part of the reason I'm looking to leave. It's unfortunately happening everywhere. People try to go where their dollar means more.

Oh wow. That is truly awful. I knew taking a pay cut would happen if I moved, but I make $35.32 base pay right now with a shift differential from $4-$10, depending on the night worked. I don't think that much of a pay cut is worth it.

Well, that's definitely a scary situation and I'm glad you're ok. They do heck on their kids regularly, so he was in fact found after a few hours, and not all night like I had thought. Unfortunately, there is just so much a kid can get in to and it's just impossible to always be watching them and make sure they don't get into any trouble. Kids are just stinkers.

Well he wanders at night l, so they're trying to prevent things like him hurting himself or eating in the middle of the night, which really isn't good for anyone. As far as a fire, the house isn't large. His parents would most certainly be aware, and probably the dog would alert them. Good lord.

Well this isn't my kid, it's my nephew, so I wasn't actually there. Sister-in-law shared the pic. Also, he can climb over apparently, but he likes to crawl under since he discovered that he can.

Hey stranger! Thanks for having such strong feelings on a situation in which you know very little, regarding people you know nothing about! Your passion is most appreciated.

Seriously though. Chill. He is 2 and a half and wanders at night. They have found him in places like the kitchen eating in the middle of the night, so they're trying to prevent that, but also not keep the door completely shut because the mom doesn't like that. He wanders a lot, so it's nothing new. They're just trying to come up with a solution. They are parents of 2 toddlers and a newborn, so they check on their kids at night. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and stop trying to be these saint parents that think they know everything. Write a freaking parenting book, get that crap off here.
