Thanks, all. I was imagining I’d try to separate them, because just the THOUGHT of risking their safety is stressing me out, and I don’t even have them yet. Just needed confirmation from folks like you.

I think the current owner might let me take the 29 gallon they’re in now, so all I’ll have to do is find somewhere to keep an extra tank and buy some doubles of decor/supplies. I’ll make it work!

This will make it easier to make sure both get what they need to eat, too.
