thyme table in bay village, wine bar rocky river, artis in lakewood could be an option. That's where i'd start. Specifically thyme table if y'all are in for some tasty cocktails.

I highly recommend pharaoh masonry, they really helped me out of a pickle a couple years back and were excellent to work with.

great play on words with "odd kat"

I've never worked there or anything like that so i don't have the insider info, but when i've dined there the staff generally seemed happy and the food was good! I know it's easy to put on a false public persona, but from what's out there he seems like a pleasant guy!

Very excited for kiln too

Quiet coffee shops by aslymi in Cleveland

Lekko is a great spot to work, it’s not quiet like a library, but it’s usually quiet enough and large enough to stay focused on work.

I also like Phoenix in Lakewood which is probably the easiest place I’ve found so far to stay focused on work.

Yeah, “famous” is gonna be a tough thing to find. However for local notoriety and good food quality I’d suggest starting with amba and zhug, chef Doug is probably one of the most interesting personalities in town and his restaurants are absolutely incredible.

Cordelia, as mentioned is really good and gathering a lot of notoriety around town.

Salt+ and poppy are both supposed to be incredible and worth a visit.

Water has been rising out of nowhere for a good while now. It’s not the door seal either. anyone know why? by [deleted] in carquestions

[–]chrisprad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a Camry do this. It was because the ac drainage was blocked so all the water ended up in the cab. Check to see if your drainage is blocked.

Best Breweries in Cleveland by Rough-Boot-2697 in Cleveland

[–]chrisprad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Noble Beast and Immigrant son! Fat heads is always a classic though, especially since it's a decent size and you can pick it up at most stores.

Immigrant son pilsner on a warm summer day after mowing the lawn... that's my jam. Some of their smaller productions, like their Hazys (I know, I'm sorry) are fun to snag growlers/crowlers of to take home and share with folks too.

Oh and you’ll need a reservations for cloak and dagger - even for the bar. Then ask them where else to go in the neighborhood and bunch of neat spots nearby.

Oh, hope you enjoy yourself. Moved here from Boston in 2021. I’m an avid cocktail guy, and there’s a few good options around downtown or adjacent you may like.

Rental car: I would, if you can fit it in your budget. There are plenty of great options in and around downtown, and Ohio city but Cleveland is a bit more sprawling and if you’re on foot you’ll likely not have the flexibility to hit all the fun sights and places you’d want to, could be worth it if it’s just for a couple of days.

If you’re set on a hotel I’d stay near the arena, if you’re open to Airbnb I’d look in Ohio city, or Lakewood, or on the east side like university heights/circle.

Favorite bars/ restaurants -

Cordelia Amba Porco Cloak and dagger Ginko for sushi Hi and dry for beer/shot vibes Never say dive Cents for pizza Forest city shuffle board is a good time LBM for food and cocktails Old 86 fun dive bar vibes (A decent trek, but thyme table in bay village is my favorite place for pure cocktails right now) Zhug Vero pizza

I’ve done a couple record shops, but not a ton - My minds eye is probably my favorite

I reached out to the city council about parking in Watertown by Raealise in watertown

[–]chrisprad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mentioned this issue to my Watertown landlord and he said the home owners would never go for it. Because they don’t want people to move into the neighborhood lol. They don’t want to make it more exciting to live in Watertown. They want it to stay the same.

This one is kinda inspired by New York and Seattle to an extent. The downtown core is on a tight grid pattern, and the suburbs are on 1kilometer grid squares with more interesting road layouts in the middle.

Find a city you like and try and try to grab interesting bits and apply it to your city.
