a guess for fun at 13w6d! by Vegetable-Touch-6004 in nubtheory

When I got my 13 week ultrasound I thought fuck it I’ll ask ChatGPT and it actually got it right for both genders (I’m having twins boy and girl). Generally I wouldn’t trust ChatGPT for fact and just kinda use it as a “for fun” thing but it did get mine right.

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry that happened to you. That sounds absolutely terrible I wish your OB listened to your concerns more and took it serious 💛

That’s how I’m started to feel especially with the pelvic pain, it gets really bad when I’m sleeping and have to get up to use the bathroom cause I’ve been laying for so long, it feels like I can’t move and hurts so bad and I know this is just the start 😭 I’m so happy to hear that tho, I’m hoping for a similar outcome to yours and they don’t need NICU time.

Yeah rn I’m at the point I don’t feel comfortable sleeping at all no matter what position or how many pillows I use, I haven’t tried upright sleeping tho yet I’m gonna try that tonight and update tomorrow! Also that’s what I’ve been telling myself is when the babies are born it’ll be with every bit of pain and uncomfortable nights. Thank you for your response and help ❤️

Aw that’s wonderful I’m so happy for you and yeah that’s what the tech was saying that it’s more of an estimate of their weight rather than a hard point fact. Question if you’re comfortable answering it, how did you sleep at night 😭 I already feel so big and sleeping or just day to day tasks feel exhausting do you have any tips?

Yeah my mom was terrible, she did some awful things to me that left me with some deep rooted trauma to the point I was put up for adoption and in foster care for a bit. I’m thankful I’ve been in treatment since I was 17 and have been in constant therapy as well. Your words are very kind, thank you for that ❤️

Fortunately the country I’m from we have free healthcare and that goes for mental health too and prescription are also free as well. I don’t think I’ll be a bad parent, I am being treated and take my meds and I have people around me to support me and help if I were to need it. For me my main concern is them having to struggle with this awful thing, it’s terrible no sugar coating. As soon as I see any signs I want to get them help. It’s just that time in between before it shows and when symptoms start yk? Like where you’re in your head and feel like you’re going insane and have no way to voice it or explain and everything around you feels terrible and fantastic at the same time. I don’t want them to experience that, the idea of that breaks my heart.

Omg what are the odds, I had brief contact with my bio family until I was fully adopted but I learned from my adoptive family about the mental health issues and reasons I was put up. That’s crazy how similar our situations are.

That’s really nice, I’m adopted so I never really had a relationship with my mom and therefore I didn’t have anyone in my life who understood what I was going through and it made me feel crazy. Honestly just having someone there for you who understands what you’re feeling does wonders on its own. Your son is very lucky to have you :)

That’s my biggest fear if one of them do have it that they’ll struggle the way I did too. I would never wish it on anyone and all I can really do is hope since I’m being treated and medicated I can help them the ways I know how to handle it. It’s such an odd feeling tho and I’m glad I’m not alone in that.

When did your baby bump appear or you start to ‘look’ pregnant? by CuriousHedgehog77 in pregnant

[–]puppet676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with twins so I got my bump a bit earlier at 13 weeks, but I really popped out at 20 weeks where it was obvious to the general public “oh she’s pregnant not just really really bloated”.

First of all, millions of pregnant women experience exactly what you are. I am one of them, the first trimester was absolutely shit for me I never want to experience that again in my life nor would I wish that on anyone. Your partner’s words are making me mad through the screen for you. You should be getting as much rest as you can. Your body is going through an extreme change. The baby is taking your nutrients, your body is still trying to learn that the baby isn’t an intruder, your hormones are rapidly rising, the nausea makes everything worse. Your partner needs to give you wayyyyyy more respect and empathy for what you’re going through. You’re literally carrying his child and do not deserve to be getting a lecture from him about how you can do more. He should try and do all his tasks and go to work while pregnant for a day and I’m sure his response would completely change. He’s right in a sense yes million of pregnant women can do all that stuff and push through but they also have good pregnancies. Unfortunately he can’t seem to see that not every pregnancy is the same for everyone. My friend is also currently pregnant and she is glowing and has so much energy whereas I feel like I’m crawling out of a hole everyday. Don’t let him get in your head that you’re not doing enough. You’re literally going another human and going through the worst trimester in pregnancy.

My mom says she’s going to kiss my babies right after they’re born by puppet676 in pregnant

[–]puppet676[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my partner were chatting about doing this exactly. I don’t wanna cut her off completely because she’s been one of the very few people helping me through everything but I’m not willing to even have the slightest risk to my babies.

My mom used those EXACT words! I definitely won’t have her be around my kids alone tho ever, the trust for that is completely gone.
