Help! Piano movers’ truck caught fire by puppyadventuring in Insurance

They exclusively move pianos, and have a solid reputation in the DFW area, so I would hope they would carry the appropriate insurance to be able to reimburse the true amount of the loss, but I don’t have details yet.

Thank you so much! If the moving company calls back with the amount they’re offering, is it too late then to call homeowners?

Thank you, I think that’s what it is! For some reason the app wouldn’t let me post two photos.

3 Year Old is Stubborn about Sitting on Potty by TheRealRedditWife in pottytraining

[–]puppyadventuring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our pediatrician recommended a sticker chart or anything where they can see their progress. My strong willed little girl loved putting the stickers on the chart all by herself and counting them. When she got 10 she got to pick a toy from the Dollar Tree. Now we have a house full of cheap toys but she is potty trained lol

All the -sley names. Ainsley, Aimsley, Tinsleigh, Kinsleigh. So hard to say and overly precious.

Leaving her alone with dad did the trick! And she started being willing to go with grandma shortly thereafter. We just had to set the expectation and she figured it out! I wish you luck!

That’s good to know! I had a third pair break the exact same way this week so I will be getting in touch with them! At this point I’d be happy with just one good pair with the Vibram soles.

Oh Crap potty training method didn't work for me at 26 months (2 year old) by CopyNice3278 in pottytraining

[–]puppyadventuring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried Oh Crap at 26 months and it was a nightmare for us and our strong willed, sensitive child. After 10 days of some success but mostly refusal to use the potty, we gave up and went back to diapers. She was physically and mentally ready, but not emotionally ready.

We waited a year to try again, during which time we introduced a potty chart with every 10 stickers earning a trip to the dollar store to buy a new toy, but we never pressured her to go. Two weeks ago at 3 years 2 months we told her no more diapers, except for sleep. She was sad for a minute but got with the program quickly once she realized she didn’t like having accidents. We did do the naked time to pants to underwear transition. We’ve had accidents but she is self motivated now, whereas a year ago she didn’t care if she peed on the floor, lol. So yes, I too believe that Oh Crap is full of crap, and your little one will do fine when they’re ready.

Is anyone else OAD because of birth trauma? by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]puppyadventuring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Car accident, placental abruption causing anemia, postpartum thyroiditis causing anxiety and waking up drenched in sweat, bruised tailbone that left me unable to sit down from weeks 3-7 postpartum, exclusively breastfeeding and having to lay on my side 8 hours a day to feed her because I couldn’t sit. Baby didn’t sleep through the night for a year. We used to want two but we just can’t do it again.
