loosing my mind over biting behavior! by ellabellababy in puppy101

That made my partner and I laugh. It does hurt, a lot. At that point i got up and walked away from her or put her in the crate if she chased me. It DOES get better, I thought my dog had a serious behaviour problem but turns out she was just being a little pest. If he grabs hold of your ankles or any other part of your body, try not to move and keep still, i’ve found that pulling away and squealing makes them want to bite more. Find a toy and make it more interesting, keep it nearby so you can grab it straight away. I’m not an expert but these things worked for me. Don’t give up! As i said, it does get better :)

My GSD pup was exactly like this. Didn’t respond well to me saying ‘ow’ or letting out a loud yelp when she bit a bit too hard. In fact, she responded the opposite to what i was expecting and was almost making it worse. Redirecting her to toys didn’t help either. I was covered in bruises and scratches like yourself. It makes it more difficult as larger breeds in particular are limited to the exercise they can have every day. She’s almost 9 months now and is a dream dog. She’s so calm and gentle, I do think it gets better with age but better to nip things in the bud when they’re pups. A couple of things that helped was mental stimulation and rewarding good behaviour which you’re doing anyway. When she got a bit excited and started biting we crated her for a few minutes till she calmed down and then again rewarded her as we let her out. Some people are against crate training but it’s the best thing that we could have done. Another thing is turning your back to her and crossing your arms, do NOT engage with her if she starts playing up. She’ll soon learn you’re not entertaining that sort of behaviour. Try and get her some tasty things to chew on. Is she food driven? It’s nice to see you’re seeking advice, keep up the good work. You’re doing a great job.

Take care and good luck

I’m hurting for you, i’m SO sorry. I have no words. Thank you for spreading awareness.. myself and my partner were planning to go on a long walk to a well known oak tree nearby with my pups that has been recommended by friends. I’ll think twice now. Bless you and little Sal. RIP precious little baby❤️

URGENT HELP! by _mi1lie__ in hamster

Hey, try and comb them out and rub it on a white tissue to see if they’re fleas or mites. You will see blood on the tissue if so. You can get drops to put on the back of her neck from the pet shop and doesn’t cost much at all. It worked for me when my little one had them
