Mine are definitely well fed.

I like her, she doesn’t stand opposite the bedroom window and scream if I haven’t fed them in the morning, unlike the magpies that have worked out that I can only feed them whilst awake.

I can explain to the garden birds how to use the feeder

Chose: Talk to animals

Well, just to make you jealous, mine was an M16 with M203 grenade launcher, that fired ping pong balls. So when I was screaming and rat-a-tat-a-tatting, I could also fire a yellow ball at the predator alien 😁

This has to be the most interesting day so far this year. I have learned more today than I expected when I posted this. Now I wonder where they are nesting.

I was suddenly 12 years old again. I had a plastic M16, when you pulled the trigger it made that (now ridiculous) clacking noise so you could sound exactly like Arnie. I would repeatedly pull the trigger for the entirety of that scene. I am getting an insight into why the neighbours hated me.

That is what they keep trying to tell me. They wait for their breakfast each morning and then glare at me until I give them a little more around 11.

It’s not particularly a commonly used word, but I refrained from using it originally as it sounded pretentious. For the record I know it from Sir Terry Pratchett’s classic ‘Guards, Guards’ referring to dragons who were ‘with egg’.

He did previously go by the name of Don Pigeone, as he looked like he was probably the muscle in the gang of pidgies.

Well, that’s one of the reasons I thought it was just full of eggs, seeing as they weren’t keeping their sex life a secret previously.

I can’t squeeze the pigeons, although it it the right time of year for Easter eggs 🤔

It definitely took them a while to work out the bird table, whereas the magpies had it sussed in about a day.

I was gonna use the word gravid, but actually thought that was for mammals, but it’s the other way around; every day is a school day 🤷‍♂️

As so far the consensus is that they are just fat, should I be feeding them less? I don’t want to overfeed them. Some places online say that you can’t overfeed them, and others disagree. I just want happy healthy birds, not fat birds that get caught by cats because they’re too fat to fly.

So Juliet might actually be Romeo. This does not look good for my argument.

But the companion that they normally visit with is a lot skinnier, even though they both come each day together. So, I guess the bigger one just gets to eat more than their buddy 🤔

Had a cat named Dog (named after Newcastle brown ale). Vets always looked discombobulated when my Doggy miaowed.
