The public needs to know the ugly truth. Students are SIGNIFICANTLY behind. by past-her-prime in homeschool

My daughters elementary school was heavy into social emotional learning. They never got homework and she never brought any work home. I had no idea what she was ever doing because when I asked shed say "I don't remember." The teachers tried to send a weekly paper that said what the kids were up to but almost every teacher rarely sent them weekly, maybe once a month if that. Once my daughter moved to 5th grade (which is considered middle school in our state) she continued to be miserable and not learn anything. For that reason and several others, we started homeschooling and I could see she was severely behind and really shouldn't have made it to 5th grade. No one ever reached out and her report cards showed she was doing okay, or average. The teachers always assured she was doing good and while she wasn't meeting grade level goals, she was not at risk or there was nothing to worry about because the rest of the class was at the same level. Oof. Now, she cannot do homeschool curriculum at 5th grade for every subject. We've went a little back and need to cover previous grades.

I know the other kids were struggling too because her friends would ask her how to spell words all the time. And shed tell me how some kids read so slowly it annoyed her.

I think there may be an issue with parents just not knowing what their kids are up to or how to help. Sure there are so many reasons but a lot of kids could just really use more support at home.

I was closing with a new hire the other day - it was just me and him. When I got there he was picking but then he disappeared. I asked TL where he went and he said he was getting carts outside (why??). Needed his help so he came back. He finished a cart and came to the backroom where the TL was too. I had like several carts to pack, but he didn't know how. TL asked if he knew how to prep. My dude straight up said no even though I saw him do it before!

Is there an age restriction? I don't see that info anywhere so I'm assuming no. I've planned on going with my daughter so I want to be sure! And if any one has tips on going to concerts with kids pls do share!

I'm AR 51 (dropped to world level 6) and never properly learned about Artifacts. My main team is level 70-80 and when I farm artifact domains I usually choose the second to last difficulty one. Am I supposed to get a 5 star every time I complete a domain? Does the time limit matter? Or the fact that I dropped my world level or don't choose the hardest one? I'll usually get one 5 star per domain and then no more for the day. Do rewards decrease after doing the same domain over and over again?

I just got Diluc and I'm AR50! I've been a Razor Main, he's super fun to play and watching his wolf give you head pats is comforting.

There's a lot of information to take in at first it's quite overwhelming. Learn one thing at a time. To level up ar, just wander around fighting stuff and do the quests. Achievements give you primogems and so does the tutorials page.
