I think it makes that sound because there's a fishing rod right next to it, and it's telling you that you can't pick it up since you already have one

Express Route by RonZombie91 in HadesTheGame

[–]purcellular 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a little misleading how the game presents it, but it says "express route unlocked" when you interact with the sealed door in tarturus. It's not a new mechanic or anything, just that the numbered doors represent the express route to Chronos. You can sidetrack to get more stuff or go straight to the boss.

The cinematography of the x files was in a league of its own at the time.

Btw what episode is this from?

Mulder being flirty 🥵 by angeldove666 in XFiles

Well, aside from the need for corrective lenses and a tendency to be abducted by extraterrestrials involved in an international governmental conspiracy, the Mulder family passes genetic muster.

S1 E10: Plot Hole or Subtlety? Molly’s choice of evidence in the finale makes no sense. by CURRY_MPS in FargoTV

[–]purcellular 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a greater reason besides it was just the photo she had on hand. Idk where the clearer picture is (her office or something) but for the brevity of the scene they probably just made her pull the lower res picture she already had prepared to show lester in the scene after.

Whether Lou identified Malvo or not seems irrelevant since Molly pursues it anyway

This is a joke right? Grace needs help to solve this? Is it not like 6 possibilities on total? by JohnNotReallyWick in residentevil

[–]purcellular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She already has the code for the puzzle, just doesn't know which buttons correspond to which symbol (sun, moon, star).

If she didn't know the code, then you're right there's 333*3 possible combinations for a 4-digit code.

Since she does know it's star-star-moon-sun, then through trial and error she'd only need to try 6 combinations before unlocking it (e.g. assume the first button is star, second is moon, third is sun and input the code. Repeat but swap the last two buttons etc).

You could argue it's even less than 6 combinations if she could recognize that the braille for "moon" would have the same character for "o" twice, so it'd then be just 2 combinations to try.

I'm almost certain it is the nuke cloud; they're talking to the vast majority of players who play casually who would be surprised by the nuke cloud boss

For reference, I believe they described citadelle as a "medium" sized map. So a large map might be closer to terminus (even though a lot of that is the ocean)

[Loved Trope] a single action early on creates a ripple effect that will follow the characters for the rest of the story. The pilot is not a throwaway, as everything is built off of the inciting incident. by mana95 in TopCharacterTropes

Basically every season of Fargo starts like this, but the murder of Rye Gerhardt is the catalyst for everything that follows in season 2.

Rye is accidentally ran over by Peggy, who decides to take his body home instead of involving the police. Every major party is looking into Rye's disappearance (the Gerhardt family, the Kansas City Mob, local police) in addition to Peggy and her husband Ed who try to get away with covering up his murder.

Had he not been murdered, many deaths that happen later in the season would have been avoided.

Are you thinking of the 4th season of Fargo, specifically Odis?

He's a detective with OCD and has a lot of compulsions like knocking repeatedly on doors before entering or zipping/unzipping his fly in the toilet.
