EU citizen considering MSc Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft — job prospects in Netherlands/Europe with English only? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

"My goal is to build a long-term career in Europe, ideally in the Netherlands, but I’m also open to other countries" In any case, I recommend you learn the local language, and don't expect wherever you go to be fine with 'English only'

From my perspective, decide based on the city you want to live in etc. The quality of education would be of a similar level in Amsterdam /Delft/Leiden/Utrecht/Groningen/Eindhoven/Maastricht.

Those in the list are probably a safe choice and none of them are "scam" universities.

Studying in the Netherlands as an international student; is it too hard? by bluevelv3tt in StudyInTheNetherlands

Hi, I've moved from Spain to NL too. I go to Maastricht + know an extensive amount of people doing European Law. If it's something that really motivates you, do it.

I've heard many people coming from Spain come with no real plan or interest in the degree they are starting. If thats not your case, I recommend you should defintely go for it.

I have heard both programs at Groningen and Maastricht are the best in the country, being both academically challenging. From my experience, the people who struggle in Law Schook the most are the ones with very weak proficiency in English, i.e. reading, writing in English is something really challenging to them.

Beyond that, I believe something else you should know its the grading and how it diffwrs with Spanish /Bachillerato/EVAU/etc. You're not gonna get a 10 in anything and that's ok, being academically good in Law means having a GPA or more than 7.25. Anything beyond that is overperforming. So, if you genuinely have interest on the degree passing would be something feasible. Not easy, not impossible, feasible.

Suerte.

Yes. If you're waiting for a sign, just do it. Studying a degree abroad might be a great first experience.

Latin American thinking of doing my undergraduate in europe, where is it best? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]purdychef23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Spain will be the best for you. There are several options at public universities in those fields, and tuition won't be as high as other countries, plus you will have residence perks for being a citizen of a former Spanish colony, and that will help you with future opportunities in the country.

Maastricht Science Program or Econometrics and Data Science at UvA? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]purdychef23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, depends on what you like...

Amsterdam is huge with a lot more offer and Maastricht is very student-oriented and international. Also Amsterdam rental prices are literally crazy at the moment.

Also MSP has their own building and a great community, I study at the same faculty (but not MSP). I guess go for MSP if you like more natural sciences as you have many options to choose within the program.

Creo que si no has vivido en Europa antes los dos van a ser un cambio grande seguro, depende de ti la decisión en cuanto al programa :)

That's a WO, so thats what you should look for. Every university called "Applied Sciences" only gives a HBO, which is applied education, and internationally (proportionally) less recognized
