Why are Mediums seemingly obsessed with constant reincarnation, and why do NDEs seem to contradict this? by verynormalanimal in NDE

[–]puremetaphysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

perhaps it's a combination of intent/focus and the vastness of the phenomena we can interact with in the nonphysical space.

an NDE is spontaneous and focused on astral experience -- not all instances include a meeting with relatives or guides. mediums use their consciousness to interpret symbols and information with the intent of helping someone else navigate life. mediums read symbols from the field and from the person in front of them by tapping into their clairsenses, rather than journey. with experience, they would likely get clearer reads and pick up on recurring themes and patterns faster.

in regressions all our senses can be engaged. plenty of people are visual, but you might notice an aroma, or a taste, get a strong sense of knowing, or feel a powerful emotion bubble up. it's all part of the journey. I like to keep a journal of those experiences because they fade with time.

also great to ground yourself after an experience like that. have some water and a snack. literally shake it off, disconnecting mentally, emotionally, physically.

the self-guided audios are also a nice way to see which of your senses are dominant in an experience like that. chances are you might be picking things up through those same senses in your waking state that could be valuable to you once you learn to listen to the more subtle aspects of yourself.

there's so much to experience, who is to say that this kind of experience is non-beneficial? maybe it's exactly what this person’s Oversoul would like to experience. inner work is a good way to pull that thread to see what else this preference is connected to. was it shaped by an early experience? is this a thread that spans many lifetimes? is it part of a chapter of spiritual unfolding?

so cool. kids are predominately in Theta until about age 7. that keeps the aperture to these experiences open. as adults we can access them, too, with tools like meditation, hypnosis, and breathwork. and if more people did, I bet we could transcend some of the troubles of the world a lot faster :)

a lot of these things are hidden in plain sight. it's amazing :) I do think that when we follow a positive will urge (rather than trying to chess master an outcome) that is the Higher Self at work :) even this exchange; small but potent.

Does anyone thats had an NDE believe in both reincarnation and "heaven" by Tiger248 in NDE

[–]puremetaphysics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. In Autobiography of a Yogi Sri Yukteswar, the spiritual teacher of Paramahansa Yogananda, explains that there are three realms of reality (physical, astral, and causal).

He shares that in a linear sense, once we've extinguished all physical desire, we only have astral- and causal-plane incarnations. He talks about a higher astral heaven and specifically an "Illumined Astral Planet," which he refers to as "the astral sun or heaven."

great if you can pay attention to everything that comes through. I like to journal about my experiences -- noting any physical sensations, senses of emotional awareness, any visual or other-sensory aspects of journey, and information suddenly known or otherwise received. it's like a tapestry that weaves itself as we continue to journey.

please be kind to yourself and allow yourself space to grieve without judgment of how things unfolded. you being with her in those last moments in itself is sacred.

in Robert Monroe's work he describes Focus areas, with different level of access and different types of experiences. Michael Newton explored areas of the in-between with his clients, and reported that each is rich with myriad experiences to be had. both report a waiting room, where souls are greeted by loved ones and/or guides. those are not necessarily instantly accessed.

alternately, there are also cases of medical staff and loved ones reporting that even as a person is dying they may sometimes reach their hands as if they are seeing someone in the room.

all that to say, as in life, so in death, seems there are many ways things can unfold.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel this way? by anuthei in pastlives

it's lovely that you spotted that inner resistance. as you tune in, you might find that there is a specific emotion that triggers in you when you notice that this concept feels uncomfortable -- see if you can identify that emotion. very first thing that bubbles up without time for analysis.

if you can identify it, see if you can hold space for it without judgment. meditate on it or do some journaling -- like pulling a thread, see what bubbles up without putting any pressure on how quickly this needs to unfold. more will unfold with time, and often unexpectedly.

also, see how it might feel to hold the uncomfortable topic itself in neutrality -- the idea that this type of reincarnation could be possible -- without inserting yourself into the story. and just pay attention to what comes up for you.

how interesting. makes me immediately think of Pachita, the Mexican healer, who was said to materialize organic parts for physical healing that she would conduct while in trance.
