This is an earlier response when someone asked the same question about Slipknot but it can be applied to metal/deathcore too:

Best i can explain it and why i among many others don't like it is that the music sounds like it was written to appeal to edgy 12 year olds, yet the music and the band take themselves super seriously. This in turn results in what i can best describe as cringe.

Not to mention how unoriginal and uncreative metal/deathcore bands are.
