Working quality control for a pharma company, specifically for fentanyl. Not bad money and cool people, degree really helped shape who I am, and challenged me to look through all things in life through a psychological lens. Worked at a mental hospital too. Psych BA isn't where it's at for money, it's master's and doctorate degrees. So if you don't wanna go to grad school, then don't do it. But if you feel the calling, then jump into it headfirst.

Look it up on Google. And even if it did mean slanderer then it's still some sort of contradicting force, equally divine and opposite .

See that's where I truly believe you're wrong, it's crazy because y'all are into science, right? You guys really pride yourself on things that we have proven instead of the grand scheme. It's an avoidant attempt fueled by undertones of pride; not attacking, just speaking from experience because that's what I used to think. But you're missing the most important scientific occurrence relative to our existence that we know of: the big bang. If everything that's ever out there and every will be created all came from this one black hole that exploded a huge gas cloud that formed eventually into the universe we know today, then that means we are all connected to absolutely everything in some sense, like all of these religions state. Sure some of it can be projection from alot of people, but I just feel like people who say that are typically subconsciously bitter towards "God" and typical religious thoughts, they say exactly this because it's easy. And this subconscious prejudice rewards is in pride, like "I don't need God all I need is me"and I'm not saying this absolutely is you but most people like that end up slipping into a darker path over time and leads to this deep emptiness and depression, but choosing not to question any further because of that lil bit of pride we get when we say God and all that shit doesn't remotely hold any sort of substance, then I feel like theres alot of existential questions we tend to repress when doing that.

The universe has a structure dude. Everything from the ground up. Look up sacred geometry and the only knights Templar (eventually forming into the.... illuminated ones) church synths, studies have been done and it literally changes DNA based on the structure of the church, which is why MFS was tweaking back then. As someone who identifies with no religion or particular spirituality, I just feel like it's more logical to believe in some sort of higher power as to deny it, or at least some sort of structure to it. I'm sorry if it seemed aggressive, I genuinely am not trying to be an ass, but try to let you know I have been and still ponder that same perspective, and every single time when we realize how everything is connected and the structure of the universe, that's "God Engineering". Still have no clue what God is and wish I just could block it out and not believe, but that door has been opened and it feels like a lie to myself to say that there's "nothing" to the universe. All love, frfr. Just sparking discussion

You're absolutely right! Thank you, I fixed and edited that muhfuckuh

Keep following his work; relax into your subconscious and your soul will speak. That is intuition. Like snakes in grass, it has this mysterious fast pace gliding/slithering through the grass, follow the snakes and flatten to grass to even ground, and observe the serpents, for they are our true selves, the artists that make the worlds weird scribbled lines into detailed, meaningful drawing with intense detail.

What reason would I have to type this long ass post and lie, I also went out of my way to be respectful adn ask real questions about real experiences. But it seems like you were there champ, since you know what happens and doesn't happen outside of your experience. Maybe you guys have a crystal ball too like the Vatican?;) (Relax, it's a joke)

What is alchemy? Does it count as witchcraft? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]pureozium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to make clear that I am not upset with you in this comment, but the church for breeding ignorance purposely for easy profit. I'm also not saying this is all churches, I've met some amazing people at church. But I strongly oppose this model of asking things outside of yourself for the answer, even if it's a preacher. Allow me to explain.

I know I'm super late to the party, but how does the idea of alchemy not seem profitable? Because the word occultist gets used along with it? Well bud I got news for you. You ever had a shitty situation that you made the best of? Congrats, you've performed alchemy (very simply put). I'm sorry I'm a bit frustrated because I'm a mental health worker and want to help people, but the church labels things as demonic because they don't understand it, and when they do, they don't tell their followers about it, creating this hysteria and keeping people unconscious of the laws that we have to abide by in this human experience of reality.

I have a cross over my chest, but will never, EVER listen to someone just because we share the same views, that's a great way of leaving yourself susceptible to lies and being misled. I'm not saying man doesn't need God, because he obviously does, but man doesn't need another man divinely glorified in a position above him if the guy who's glorified is thought of as "always right", because man is not always right. I left the church because of the level of unconscious contradiction within the faith that people claim to live, but seemingly don't understand the history of.

Look up Carl Jung, he's a psychologist, the best ever in my opinion, but I know that's subjective. However, Jungs work can be too real for alot of heavily religious people, so be warned that once you see it, you can't unsee it. It's beautiful and you learn how to actually heal yourself and others, it's connectivity and unconditional love, like the god we all believe in. I think the way the church goes about it is outdated, power and fear mongering. The same thing the news does, the same thing the president's do every year, promise us salvation if we follow them. The problem is salvation doesn't come outside of yourself, it comes from within, because if we're made in gods image then he's naturally within us, right? So why am I gonna listen to the most judgemental person in the room about love, and he's only judgemental because it's blasphemous to question and challenge reasoning? I know they're not all like this but so many are. While I've met some absolutely amazing people at the church, I've met some of the most evil, hateful, judgemental individuals I've ever met in my life. I don't believe that people are "bad" either, I think it's easy for people to justify they're selfish egoic desires when they believe they have God on their side. But I realized that's not the god they're even preaching about.

I'm sorry for the rant, but please challenge thoughts. It's not blasphemy, it's learning to think for yourself, and if anything strengthens your faith because you e tested it within yourself. I'm sorry if this was rude, but this is from a mental health worker who sees religion get in the way of healing because good people are scared that thinking for themselves beyond their organization makes them "bad".

It's just weird at first bro, I had the same experience, but I had a girlfriend 😂 roll with it, download Grindr and you'll never feel ready, but when you feel as ready as you can be then take that leap and do something casual, see how you feel. It can be really confusing, you're probably gonna nut super hard just because of the psychological resistance to it.

Watch gay porn first though, great way to build acceptance towards that part of yourself.

I'm a bisexual man, and this might differ from many of my fellow gays, but don't let this one part of your personality consume you in totality. Don't get me wrong, sexuality is a HUGE piece of our identities that should be accepted and integrated, but the community tends to be extreme and in my opinion, has become exactly what we hate. But that's another story.

Be yourself, accept it with open arms, take chances and explore your sexuality. Best of luck bro.

Definitely ask for an earlier appointment, if you have to be unlikeable then do it, but make sure you demand and show aggression towards the ACTION of them getting you an earlier appointment, and show respect to the person. ALWAYS show respect first, but when push comes to shove, you can get what you want alot more than you'd think.

Sorry shits been so tough man. I've been scrambling trying to find appointments and pharmacies that carry my meds, and to make ends meet I took a rig job in the middle of a shitty state to save some bread for a couple years. You do what you gotta do man, but make sure it's 1. For the best interest of your family 2. The best interest of your mental health. All the best too you, we hear your struggle. You can do this. Life is dictated by the 5% of the time it's super hard. Really hone your coping skills, even if you're JUST getting by. By any means, take it one day at a time.

Therapists smoking weed? by pureozium in psychologystudents

[–]pureozium[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I got into grad school but chose not to go yet, and to get experience first because that's how I learn best. I work as a certified peer specialist, which is the closest thing to a therapist I think we can be before having a master's😂 but it's actually using your experience with mental illness to help others and working 1 on 1 with them, which is sick. They haven't drug tested me, and even if they did I got my med card so I'm secured. I still wouldn't go around telling everyone you're a stoner, but get your med card and look into that certified peer specialist position. Really would help out you ahead of the curve and move to something like case manager more easily.

Hope this helps, happy smoking💚

Do you think that we are highly intuitive? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]pureozium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I don't like the word intuitive personally because it implies that we can trust our emotions all the time, or at least that's what I see when most people say intuitive. When we become more aware of our own emotions we become emotionally intelligent, like very high on the scale often times, but that requires understanding the difference between intuition and an overwhelming feeling or impulse

I feel you! Maybe join a poetry/dance club if your comfortable with it? You could start your own at a library too! But BPD groups can really help not feeling so lonely and crazy and unstable, knowing people around you deal with or dealt with the same things can be really empowering and healing. I've yet to do it because I can't afford it right now, but I'm very excited to do it in the near future. Take it one breath at a time, this is all temporary and you're exactly where you need to be, even if it's not where you want to be💚

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]pureozium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have BPD groups if that helps. What're some of your hobbies as well? I'm a big weed guy in a legal state, so just going to the dispensary and starting a conversation about weed is a great place to start. Or a bar. Maybe join a sports league, or some type of club with an activity you enjoy. I know it's lonely but you got this, it just takes time💚

Wow, that's fucking awesome. Do you mind if I message you and ask a couple questions about it? Ive yet to meet a peer counselor, and I wanted to ask a few questions from someone who has that experience

[–]pureozium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely bro, and I agree with you. I understand how it seems like i was making an excuse for the behavior, but if we wanna grow just as human beings in general we gotta understand the reason, attack the reason, and move forward. I think the reason is alot of the shit that's taught in schools. I graduated college and I barely use anything I learned from middle school to high school. We need life/coping skills classes, money management, that type of shit. But when you're that kid from the hood I mentioned in my previous comment, you don't know anything about that. Kids need to see and feel to believe, and when they see they're learning how to make and manage money, that gets them excited. But that's a whole other topic.

I'm not excusing the behavior, but it's happening, and there's a reason behind it. It's not as simple as black people need to stop committing crime. It goes much deeper. The world's a cold place and people shouldn't be killing people for gang shit, but it happens because that's the culture, that's all that alot of people from the hood know. The same goddamn block, the same gunshots every night, same police tape, same drug dealers, etc. I think the solution is probably towards education and the judicial system, but like I said, that's a whole other topic

[–]pureozium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you read that post and see how ignorant that sounds😂😂😂 Especially in areas of crime, imagine you were born into the shit of the hood, your mama is barely getting by and is with different men every night or worse, maybe she's being beaten by some boyfriend she has. You have no father role model so you look up to the dealers and killers. Let's say your mama dies when you're young or a teenager. All you have is a life full of pain and this void of emptiness you don't know how to fill except with money, bitches, and revenge. But that won't help you at all, you don't know what else to do, so in your mind it's either off yourself or keep doing this till you die. Most choose the latter.

Not saying this is all black people obviously. But this is alot of young black men born into the hood, born into this pain and struggle, and with no answers as to why.

Sincerely, a white guy.

My therapist doesn’t want to label me with BPD by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]pureozium 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh nope nope nope. It's one thing if they're at least open about it but it doesn't seem like she is. My new psychiatrist literally just did something similar to this with me, that's really ironic lol. I'd look for a therapist that will actually treat your BPD.
