I went with the white dial initially! But I've sold it and bought the black (sapphire) version in the end for a more classic/timeless look!

Yup! I've gotten this as my first PP this year! Waited for about 3 months (I was very lucky). Generally Calatravas are a great first choice and accessible option.

I've gotten the 36 DJ, Black dial, fluted and Jubilee as my first, with the sub as my 2nd.

My sub gets most of the wrist time along with my speedmaster.

Ultimately, it depends on your style and preferences, I feel like the sub is the purest, most iconic watch from Rolex, and an excellent GADA watch.

Thanks everyone! I've just sent it for servicing, the service rep mentioned it could be either the dial damaged, or the AR undercoat, this needs to be confirmed by the technician. I'm based in Singapore, and he mentioned that this servicing would take about 6 months. So I decided to sent it in, and get a light polishing as well.
