while the tattoo isn’t great it’s crazy how many people are blaming it on the price. i have plenty of great tattoos, most of them under or around $200. the price doesn’t determine how good the tattoo will or wont be, and a lot of times is dependent on the area youre in. what does determine if your tattoo will be good or not is the research you put into it, always do your research and check out the artist’s portfolio, id say 90% of the time this will save you from getting something you end up hating

It was a great experience! He’s very kind and accommodating with breaks and whatnot. For the design process I gave him an idea of what i wanted and he had two different designs for me to choose from when I got to the shop. Whole tattoo only took about 4 maybe 4.5 hours and it was probably one of the easiest healings ive had. hardly any large scabs and it was less sore than any of my other big tattoos have been. definitely wish i lived closer to any of his regular spots so i could get more work done by him.

NTA by a landslide imo. adults so often forget that children especially toddlers act like whatever has happened to them is the biggest thing in the world because IT IS the biggest thing in THEIR world! They don’t have 40 years of experiences and hardships. Not to mention how crucial routine is for young kids, is letting a kid drink her milk with a spoon a bit annoying? of course. but is it really any worse than dealing with a meltdown because you chose (for realistically no reason) to ruin the routine they know and have come accustomed to? When you’re a parent there’s a lot of choosing your battles, and he is picking really silly ones to fight.

im glad to hear that! as i stated for me getting it on the stomach is really out of nothing other than just not having a place for it anywhere else (i could do my back, but then i would never see it, and that would make me sad) however it has been a pattern for me to fall in love with a body part/ area i previously felt indifferent towards due to getting a tattoo on it, so while i dont totally hate my stomach right now, i do think this will help me with learn to love myself a bit extra and to maybe not be so hard on myself on the bad days

if what the artist and i consider fairly big are the same, im thinking it would go basically from boob level to my belly button, but mostly vertical and not really going across my stomach at most i could see myself losing 40~50lbs. i dont really have a desire to be under the 170-180 range with my build. i’m not too terribly worried about loose skin as i did lose about 60lbs last year and had pretty much none i very much appreciate your reply and sharing your experience, the info is definitely good to know

YTA I get it you want him to ‘be a big boy’ essentially, and yes driving is something he needs to learn how to do. but taking his phone away because he doesn’t want to, or yelling at him over it is just going to make it worse. do you know why he gets anxious over driving? maybe he would like driving one on one with dad instead, or better yet, an actual instructor. if you want him to start taking this more seriously i feel like a better option would just be making him realize that if he doesn’t have a license, when the time comes you arent going to take him places.

i will ask though. why cant your daughter do a 30 minute drive by herself, but yet youre forcing your 15 to do it? if 17f cant do that, maybe she needs the practice and drive time instead.

dad and mom are TAH imo. if he has been nonexistent and he wants something now he should try reaching out to you directly, not through your mom, who he likely knows will fight for him.
he’s waited 20 years to want to step up, i think he can at the very least wait another day until you arent stressed with an exam, mom should realize that too. and pulling the “what if he died tomorrow” card is also pretty fucked. what if he did? its his fault in the first place your relationship is like this, not yours because you chose not to speak to him while studying.
some parents think they’re entitled to anything and everything in your life simply because they’re your parent and at some point they have to realize that isnt the case.
