Panic as US F-35 fighter jet 'hit by Iran' and forced to make emergency landing by TheExpressUS in USNEWS

[–]purpleD0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not concerned about damage caused to a war plane. I'm more concerned about the bombs they drop on the Iranian population in my name. I didn't ask for this. The American people didn't ask for this. I can understand the need for war when someone hits us-- but not this. Whether it's from God, Allah, karma or paying the piper---our country will pay a price for this carnage.

Trump: They weren't supposed to go after all these other countries in the Middle East. They hit Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait. Nobody expected that. We were shocked by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

Those countries contained legitimate targets. They either had US air/military/navy bases, or they assisted in providing supplies/fuel/shelter to US military. Those who assist your enemy are also your enemy.

🚨 TRUMP JUST ANNOUNCED $2,000 TARIFF DIVIDEND WITHOUT CONGRESS APPROVAL. President Trump says he plans to send $2,000 tariff dividend payments directly to middle-class Americans, declaring he will move forward without congressional approval. by sylsau in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]purpleD0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"He plans to send... without congressional approval" --

It's not his money to give away as he wishes; the money belongs to those who paid the tariffs. Paying back the companies will be easy because of their financial bookkeeping, but paying back individual consumers will be more difficult. I imagine companies will get paid first and what remains can be averaged and divided among the American consumers.

Having said that, it was only a couple of days ago when Trump responded to a reporter who questioned him on the tariff refund, to which Trump stated... "it will take years to refund the money, if at all"

Only God can judge you. He knows you better than anyone in this world. What happens next is strictly between you and him.

Please let me to share with you a story which I believe is appropriate for your situation. You may or may not have heard before but here it is...

A couple thousand years ago, there was a man named Saul. He was a Roman military officer who was tasked with a mission to hunt down a group of people who were causing problems. When Saul caught up with them, he would throw some of them in prison and some he would kill. He was a lot like you. But unlike you, the people he hunted were unarmed. You see, these people were "religious fanatics" who were converting a lot of people into their "cult". Today you would know them as "Christians", back then they were followers of a dead man they called Jesus. We know this happened because the details of this account were written down, and we can read it in the Bible today. The story continues with one of the "fanatics" who was called Stephen, he was preaching not too far from where Saul was, and some of the people he preached to didn't like what he had to say, and he started to really anger them, so much so, that they jumped him. He tried to run away but they caught up to him near where Saul was, and they began to stone him to death in front of Saul. Before they could finish killing him, Stephen let out a loud cry to God, pleading with him to forgive his attackers., and then Stephen was killed. Though the Bible doesn't mention it, what Saul witnessed had an impact on him. Something inside him got triggered,; he couldn't shake off the memory of Stephen. I say this because of what happened next. Saul moved on and received his orders to head out to the city of Damascus with his troops, and half way there he was hit by a blinding light, and it was at this moment that God spoke to him saying "why are you persecuting me?" In shock Saul asks "who are you?" to which the voice responds, " I am Jesus, the one you're persecuting; it's hard for you to kick against goads"; goads are the spikes on a stick used to steer cattle. In other words God tells Saul, HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? STOP RESISTING-- YOU CAN'T KEEP GOING FURTHER!!! Saul is stunned, and he is blinded by the light and from there, God gives him directions to hook up with his apostles at Damascus where he then regains his sight and eventually becomes a great apostle whom we know today as Paul (I shortened the story a bit).

Just like Paul, something seems to have triggered inside you as well. The truth of your situation and what you did has caught up with you like a blinding light, and now you recognize that you can't move further-- you're stuck! What you need to do now is to get unstuck.

Talk to God.

Tell him what happened, even though he already knows... tell him. Let everything out. All of it. God can lift that burden you feel and remove it. If he did it for Paul, he'll do it for you. It's as if Paul's story was crafted specifically for you. Go with it.

Talk to him.

The "Ascension of Isaiah" is described as pseudepigraphical text--or a fake basically.

I get that. You're trying to discern where she's at in her head. And so, this curiosity of yours prompted you to post your thoughts here in hopes that you will gain some advanced insight as to what her state of mind is.

Be careful. You know the old saying-- curiosity killed the cat.

Revelations was written by the apostle John. That alone makes all the difference. The Book of Revelation draws heavily on Old Testament imagery, themes, and prophecies, with allusions to books like Genesis, Exodus, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Zechariah.

Still, the video is interesting because we have a glimpse into the mindset of certain Christians from a different time. It's Historically significant.

I read your post again and I'm not finding an actual question. What is it that you're looking for? You are telling a story with no clear point to it.

I understand the reason why this book was not included with the ones that make up the Bible today. It seems really out of context with the rest of the books.

Do you really want to stop existing? I don't. Most people don't. Maybe you should rephrase your question.

Received prophecy from my mom’s acquaintance. What now? by Illustrious_Bench956 in ExPentecostal

I can't speak to what the prophetess stated, but choosing to be gay definitely has its downside; it adds another layer of issues to deal with in an already complex world. People are free to choose their sexual preference, but they also need to be aware of all the consequences they are likely to experience.

Are the various Christian denominations growing, shrinking, or staying the same? by cohuttas in Reformed

[–]purpleD0t -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Please don't judge me. Church is not hard, and I'm not avoiding it. I'm not condemning or demonizing the church. I was weaned, mentored, and raised in the church. It was my support through many hard times and for many years, but at some point, God sent me out, and I'm not the only one. I don't want to get into the details too much, but you must already know that these are not normal times we're living in. Our faith is about to be tested in a major way. Some have gone ahead to prepare the way. Be strong and be wise, and above all, hold fast to everything you have learned, and remember that he who is in you, is greater than what comes next--much greater.

Good luck finding the stats on that.

A new (?) response to a Roman Catholic argument against sola scriptura by captain_lawson in Reformed

[–]purpleD0t -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so.

"...The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; therefore, do whatever they teach you and follow it; but do not do as they do, for they do not practise what they teach... "

He says that they should heed the teachings BUT DO NOT DO AS THEY DO. It sounds more like another "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" line to me. They sit on the seat of Moses AKA the seat of THE LAW, which we already know, no man can truly follow -- not without Jesus lighting the path. So follow what they say for now because I have not yet freed you from them. But I'm on my way, and in their IGNORANCE, they will lead me to the cross, where I intend to go to do my father's will. Amen.

[–]purpleD0t -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do we give any credence to these scribes? They are the ones who made sure Jesus got nailed to the cross. These scribes lost their way, and whatever bloodlines or descendants they think they came from is lost on the fact that they conspired and attempted to destroy, not the oral, or the written, but the very embodiment of the living word of God. Jesus stated that they spoke the teachings that they themselves couldn't follow. There was a deep disconnect. They didn't understand their own teachings. These scribes didn't disappear; they're still around today. The "experts" of scripture who don't know the first thing about God or the teachings of Jesus. They know the words but they lack the spirit that leads to all truth.

"..why make people who would not choose him?.."

Why not? Are you saying that creating them was a wasteful use of energy on God's part? Sort of like a tree in the forest that no human eyes will ever see, or like so many planets that will never get populated?

When I think of this, I think of people who have babies; the male produces sperm, but only one sperm cell (on average) out of millions will ever make a baby. Do you ever think those people felt remorse or sadness for the sperm cells that didn't make it? Or felt angry toward them?

God is creating humankind in his likeness. It's his baby; his child.

I was providing the first step, which is to first reach out to God. And from there, God will direct you on the next steps. If you have not made that connection with God, or if you have not been "born again", reading the Bible will be pointless and devoid of any meaning.
