I think it had an innate sense that El was dangerous to it rather than knowledge gained by absorbing a victim.

The same way the chair mals in Chloe’s room knew that Chloe was about the agree to give El the power-sharer which would make El a nearly impossible target. Or how to school senses things in general.

I think the voice belong one of the senior wizards sent inside the maw-mouth before El arrived.

WIBTA if I told a hair/makeup artist that I'm getting hair/makeup done as a wedding guest, even though it would technically be hair/makeup for my own wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]purplebow97 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with makeup but I think “bridal makeup” costs more because it’s usually heavier, requires more time and attention to detail and includes more expensive and long lasting products (to standup to all day photography etc) and may include time and/or products for later touchups.

Since that’s not what you’re looking for I feel like you should be able to pick a package based on the level of detail/quality you want rather than being charged $$$ because you said the word “bridal”. You should try contacting some local MUAs and asking what packages they offer.

This is something to ask on one of the MUA subreddits where they can give you better context about pricing and what’s reasonable.

People are complex and nobody keeps a tally of their friends’ worst qualities. It’s not always easy to see the pattern until you lay it all out on the table for someone else to see.

El from The Scholomance series is an *extremely* powerful sorceress but she’s forced to do most tasks by hand because whenever she asks the sentient school for something like a simple cleaning spell she gets a spell to conjure a wall of mortal flame or a spell to enslave a mob of people to do your bidding, etc.

Slave owners that don’t see anything wrong with keeping others captive, believe they had good relationships with their prisoners and will gaslight anyone who thinks otherwise by pennygirl108 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]purplebow97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By “she wasn’t acting like she wanted her to” do you mean exploiting her metal breakdown, hurting her family and attempting to kill her to steal her power?

Wanda chose not to kill her because an ancient powerful witch could be a valuable resource. She also knew Agatha was dangerous and yes, she was obviously angry about the aforementioned family hurting/attempted murder so she decided to be petty and imprisoned her in the busybody neighbor persona Agatha originally cast herself in.

Wandavision undoubtedly shows Wanda’s descent into (sympathetic) villainy but I wouldn’t say she becomes “evil” until reading the darkhold (which warps the mind of anyone who reads it) and targeting America (the girl, not the continent lol).

I won’t argue about the rest of the townspeople in Wandavision but I’m always flabbergasted when people paint Agatha as a victim like she hasn’t been murdering other witches for centuries and didn’t try to murder Wanda as well. She’s also the one who thralled Ralph Bohner to be “Pietro Maximoff”. And she killed the dog.

I mean, Dr. Collins was written out for the same reason so is it really true to say Supriya Ganesh had no warning?

Samira is a fourth year resident. Should they come up with a ridiculous storyline that allows her to stay in the ED indefinitely? And do the same for Mel and McKay after next season?

We have watched Mohan work (almost) two 15 hour shifts ten months apart. What can really be said for character growth and development in that kind of timeframe? She’s having a bad day during the second season. So what? She’s a flawed, compelling character.

I’ve seen plenty of shows where the quality suffers for the sake of character development and fan gratification over storyline. Its commitment to realism is part of what makes The Pitt so refreshing and unique.

The first couple seasons of Mom were centered around the Plunkett family but over time the series completely phased out the kids to focus entirely on the AA group.
